Florida-based band Trivium introduced a new video for the song ‘Endless Night’. It’s taken from their current record ‘The Sin And The Sentence’. Check it out:
The night started out slowly with the first band Venom Prison. Many people hadn’t shown up yet, which is always a hard way to start out a concert.
With the second band Power Trip the audience became livelier.
When Trivium entered the stage, the place was packed. Not officially sold out, but pretty close to. They played a tight show of about 90 minutes, which is pretty rare these days, esp. in the hardcore/metalcore genre. Many of the new songs from ‘The Sin And The Sentence’ were on the set-list, but also tracks from their former records. Given that the crowd sang along to every song with the same intensity, it’s safe to say, that they love the new stuff as much as the older songs. The longer bands are in the business, the harder it probably gets to satisfy the fans. There are so many bands on the market and many people tend to not want to change their favorite bands’ style. It’s not that Trivium really changed their style too much, but one might say, they’ve been heavier in their early days. Since Matt Heafy blew his voice in May 2014, he had to cut the screaming back a bit. Luckily the injury wasn’t as fatal on the long run and he gained the full strength of his voice back. So the new record ‘The Sin And The Sentence’ became heavier again.
Make sure to catch Trivium live, when they come to town and bring a towel, ‘cause it’s going to be hot. The venue in Munich was a sauna after the first tracks. Walls were dripping with water. Sure made the band feel like at home.
