— Community-Driven, Nonprofit Festival Returning To Mission District On Saturday, June 17 —

San Francisco, CA (June 6, 2017) – The Bay Bridged and Tiny Telephone are excited to reveal the full performance schedule for this year’s Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival, which is scheduled to return to Potrero del Sol Park on Saturday, June 17. GA and VIP tickets are on sale now at www.phonodelsol.com, with GA tickets available for an affordable $29. A portion of 2017 ticket proceeds will support the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department.

 

Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival is an annual community-centered one-day event that features a highly curated mix of favorite local bands and standout national headlining acts, along with some of San Francisco’s tastiest food trucks, artisan cocktails, craft beer, and family-friendly activities in addition to a laid-back and approachable atmosphere perfect for attendees of all ages.

 

The lineup for this year’s neighborhood-friendly nonprofit festival includes a variety of acclaimed national acts and exciting up-and-comers, most of which hail from the greater Bay Area. The 2017 performers include headliner and San Francisco’s own beloved garage-punk rocker group Thee Oh Sees, as well as The Coathangers, Jay Som, Sean Hayes, DUCKWRTH, Bells Atlas, Never Young, Rayana Jay, Madeline Kenney, and Tino Drima.

Beyond all of the stellar music at the annual festival, Phono del Sol will welcome a scrumptious slate of ten food vendors that showcase some of the best culinary offerings that the Bay Area has to offer. The 2017 participating food truck vendors include Gaga’s Rollin Diner, Scotch Bonnet, Waffle Roost, Kabob Trolley, Sajj Street Eats, Bobcha, Curry Up Now, Humphry Slocombe, Mozzeria, and Linda’s Catering.

 

GA and VIP tickets are still available for purchase online at www.phonodelsol.com. These GA passes are currently available for just $29, although GA ticket prices will increase to $35 on the day of the event. Also, exclusively available online is a discounted 6-pack of tickets, where patrons can buy five tickets and get the sixth one free. VIP passes cost $60 and offer an elevated experience for ticketholders, with perks including a commemorative 2017 Phono del Sol koozie, dedicated VIP bar lines, and 20% off of all drinks at the bar. Interested patrons are encouraged to act fast as supply of the VIP tickets is limited. Children ages 5 and under are free to attend, although youth ages 6-17 can also purchase a discount ticket for just $15 per person. A portion of proceeds from this year’s festival will go on to support the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department.

 

This year’s Phono del Sol will return to one of San Francisco’s most beloved public parks, Potrero del Sol Park, which is located near the intersection of 25th and Utah Street in the Mission District. There are a variety of transportation options available to festival attendees at this year’s event as Potrero del Sol is conveniently situated near multiple public transit options. BART riders can walk to Potrero del Sol from the 24th St & Mission St Station, while Muni riders can use the 9, 10, 19, 27, 33, and 48 lines. Additionally, a limited amount of first-come, first-served bike parking will be available at the festival entrance. Note that cyclists are highly encouraged to take their valuables with them, as the festival is not responsible for any loss or theft in the bike parking area.

 

Patrons are also encouraged to bring cash to this year’s festival, as Phono del Sol is a CASH-ONLY event. For those who forget to bring cash though, there will be multiple ATM’s onsite at the box office as well as inside the festival, all of which will be made available for use throughout the daylong event.
