What a festival! This year’s Aftershock Festival has set a new benchmark, earning the title of the best Aftershock Festival to date. Celebrating its 12th festival, the West Coast’s largest rock and metal festival drew 160,000 music fans from all 50 states and 30 countries to Sacramento’s Discovery Park. The four-day event was a nonstop celebration of live music, solidifying Aftershock as a global destination for rock enthusiasts.
The 2024 lineup was stacked with legendary bands that brought fans to their feet, including epic performances by Slayer, Slipknot, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Disturbed, Falling in Reverse, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, among many others. The massive crowds were treated to five stages of continuous, high-energy music that kept them fully immersed from start to finish. From massive mosh pits, to continuous crowd surfing, it was an incredible experience.
What makes Aftershock special isn’t just the iconic headliners but also the festival’s commitment to showcasing up-and-coming talent. Rising stars such as Royale Lynn, The Warning, Jager Henry, British Lion, Return to Dust, The Funeral Portrait, and Badflower left a lasting impression, proving that the future of rock is bright.
The atmosphere at Aftershock was electric as the rock and metal community came together to take over Discovery Park, united by their passion for live music. With such a powerful lineup and an unmatched festival experience, Aftershock 2024 will undoubtedly go down as one for the books.
