A first of its kind festival has been announced to nurture and support neurodivergent artists and music fans alike.
NEURONITE takes place on July 26th, 2024 at Media Pollution in East Los Angeles.
A diverse quartet of buzzworthy artists have been announced for the show. Metal/alternative pop act VATTICA, singer-songwriter Frankie Simone and neo alternative rock artist Elishia Sharie and nu-metal act Cinnamon Babe.
Traditional concerts can be an overwhelming environment for those with neurodiversity. Exclusionary and often not a viable option for many underserved communities, particularly Neurodivergent, D/disabled, LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC people.
NEURONITE offers neurodivergent creatives on both sides of the stage the opportunity to process, heal and express themselves while fostering community engagement, support and mental health awareness. The event is built around and prioritizes the comfort and needs of the neurodivergent community.
NEURONITE is an 18+ event, and is free, thanks to the CA Creative Corps, which is generously supported by the California Arts Council and administered by Community Partners.
MEET THE ARTISTS:
Performing at the one-of-a-kind evening are four talented neuro and genre diverse acts, who innovate in their fields and all give back to the community that has helped nurture them.
Élishia Sharie is a magnetic force in the music scene. Her music gracefully fuses elements of classic 80’s rock, the edgy spirit of 90’s alternative, and the unfiltered vigor of punk rock. Sharie defies generational boundaries with her sonic energy and unapologetically soulful vocal.
VATTICA is an award-winning independent alternative rock project with over 12M streams/views/likes fronted by singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer Alexander Millar (they/them), a queer nonbinary neurodivergent artist-agitator.
Frankie Simone (they/them) is a queer, gender expansive, Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and producer based in Los Angeles, CA.
Cinnamon Babe is the brainchild of actress and popular influencer Stormi Maya. Nodding to rock icons Rage Against The Machine and Linkin Park, Cinnamon Babe is wowing audiences with a throwback sound, but one rooted in the now. She tackles hard-hitting social topics, and strives to offer a voice for BIPOC artists in the alternative scene.
