Whether you are guitar shredder yourself or a fan of the metal scene, I know where you will want to be on Monday, August 26th at 5pm…. You won’t want to miss “Shreds of Insanity” guitar exposition which is being held at Carvin Hollywood location. They will be showcasing the guitar work of four up and coming guitarists from the metal scene and it will be filmed by Century Media. This is an event not to be missed. Here is the information on who will be featured:
- Dave Silver of Savage Messiah from London, England and is currently recording their third album with Scott Atkins (Amon Amarth, Behemoth, Sylosis) which is slated for an early 2014 release.
- Jake Dreyer of White Wizzard which released their third album, ‘The Devil’s Cut,’ on June 25, 2013, and just finished a west coast run in support of the album. Jake has studied under Chris Broderick and David Shankle and has an instrumental EP titled, ‘In The Shadows of Madness.’
- Parker Jameson of Starkill from Chicago, IL and is currently on tour with Wintersun, Arsis, and Fleshgod Apocalypse. Their debut album, ‘Fires of Life’, released April 30, 2013, was produced by Parker Jameson and mastered by death metal legend, James Murphy (Death, Testament, Obituary).
- Rick DiMarco of Death Division who recently returned home to Los Angeles from the Gigantour with Megadeth and Black Label Society. Their first EP, ‘MMXIII,’ is now available on iTunes. Rick was heavily influenced by ‘80s guitar shredders such as Paul Gilbert and Yngwie Malmsteen.
