The Amity Affliction made the first stop during their European tour in Munich at the Free & Easy festival at the Backstage Munich. Entry is usually free at this festival, to make sure you get into the venue though, you’re advised to get a ticket which ensures you’re getting in. Those said tickets were sold out, so the venue was pretty packed. 33 Celsius (~ 90 F) outside, inside it was a sauna.
Like every time, TAA crushed it. Since it’s the 10th-anniversary tour of “Let The Ocean Take Me” they played the record as a whole and added some classics like “Open Letter” and recent ones like “I See Dead People”.
The other three bands that night – As Time Went By, Trust The Shark and Tenside – were a good addition. Tenside are a popular local band from Munich. They already do have a solid fanbase around here.
