(New York, NY – April 25, 2016) – In its commitment to reaching next-gen music fans, Entertainment One (eOne) has partnered with Secret Location to create FLOODLIGHT, a platform designed to enhance and extend the music fan experience across multiple platforms.

FLOODLIGHT will bring audiences closer to their favorite eOne music artists with exclusive content and unique one-time experiences, delivered directly by the artists.

eOne also confirmed the first offering on the FLOODLIGHT platform will be an exclusive 3D virtual reality video for the song “Take it All” by rock hit makers Pop Evil.  Pop Evil has sold 1.3 million singles to date, and its current album “Up” has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Independent Chart, with 14 million streams to date.

Chris Taylor, President of eOne Music Global, comments, “We’re thrilled to partner with Secret Location to make the music fan experience more immersive. It’s exciting to kick Floodlight off with Pop Evil and we are looking forward to working with our talented artists to deliver the music experience to fans in new and innovative ways.”

James Milward, Founder & Executive Producer of Secret Location, adds, “More and more the institutional walls are breaking down, creating a direct connection between artist and fan, whether it’s through social media, live shows, product collaborations or content. Floodlight provides a simple and scalable way to connect these communities, enabling extraordinary value for fans, and monetizing that connection for artists.”

FLOODLIGHT will be available publicly via www.popevil.floodlight.media.

The video for Pop Evil’s “Take It All” was shot at the 2015 Aftershock Festival, using two 360 / 3D camera rigs that captured every angle of the event in 3D. The footage was edited and stitched together to create an immersive virtual reality music video. When fans put on a headset they find themselves on the stage, above the crowed and inside the music. Pop Evil VR is designed to immerse fans in the energy of the band and provide the ultimate concert experience.

Leigh Kakaty, lead singer of Pop Evil, says, “There’s nothing more exciting than being able to bring Virtual Reality to our fans.  It was an honor to team up with Secret Location and film our set at Aftershock 2015 in Sacramento, California. To be one of the first to make an actual live performance Virtual Reality Music Video is an incredible thing to be a part of. I can’t wait for our fans to experience this, and we hope to make new fans with this new technology.”

Beginning today, fans will be able to preorder an exclusive bundle for $29.99. The bundle will include a Pop Evil branded Google Cardboard 3D viewer, a Pop Evil 360 APP, an autographed CD and a Pop Evil t-shirt, previously unavailable for online purchase. The video can then be viewed on the APP with the viewer beginning on May 27, 2016. The VR app will also be available for independent download from the App Store and Google Play.
