Last night we trekked out to San Francisco for the return of Everclear. They brought their headlining fall tour to the August Hall and it was truly a night to never forget. The evening kicked off with a killer set by The Pink Spiders. They got the crowd revved up and we were immediately hooked from the start.
Next up The Ataris came and gave us an incredible dose of punk high energy rock and we were there for it all. The adrenaline was soaring through the venue and you couldn’t help but move around.
Everyone was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Everclear and once they hit the stage, it was as if we entered a time machine. The set took us straight back to the 90s with spot on sound. The nostalgic vibe was an immediate mood elevator for all. The crowd which was full of long time fans and younger ones. But one thing was certain, they knew all the words and were happily singing along. Check out photos from our Rockin Ryan:
In addition to all the fan favorites, the highlight for me was being able to see them perform their song, Sing Away. This powerful song addressing teen suicide and bullying written from the perspective of a grieving parent. Being a parent of a teen it was quite emotional and a reminder to always check in on your children, even when they say they are ok. Check out the video for Sing Away:
There are only a couple more stops left on the tour but I highly encourage you to not miss them!
