New Years Day returns to Ace of Spades for an epic set!

The Beyond the Barricade Tour featuring Motionless in White, New Years Day, For Today and Ice Nine Kills is over the halfway mark and it has proven to be one of the hottest tours of the year! We were excited to catch New Years Day as they returned to the Ace of Spades since they always are one of our favorite shows.

One thing was for sure, this night went down as one of the best sets that I have ever seen of New Years Day. They sounded spot on and delivered a fierce energetic and compelling stage performance. You were mesmerized by Ash Costello as she completely holds the crowd captive with her presence and powerful emotive vocals. She could sing a page out of the dictionary and deliver it with such passion that you would remain enslaved in her existence. We had the chance to chat with Ash before her set and will be bringing that interview to you later this weekend. She is such an extraordinary vocalist and all around entertainer.

Nikki Misery, Tyler Burgess and Jeremy Valentyne were madmen on the stage. Each one would blaze across the stage with out losing a note and have the crowd on their feet. They stood their ground and insured that every crowd member was having the time of their life. Nick Rossi once again killed it on the drums. He is a savage animal on his set and twirling his sticks while holding the beat. The entire band, with their over the top performance remind everyone the reason live shows are so much damn fun. Sure, you can listen to your favorite bands on your radio or Ipod but to feel their energy transfer from the stage and race through your body… now that is a show!
