For Day 92 on our Countdown to NAMM, we wanted to bring you our interview with the bad ass French rockers, BlackRain. NAMM brings musicians, retailers, and manufacturers from all over the world and it was definitely a highlight when we ran into BlackRian at NAMM 2015. Check out our quick chat with BlackRain:
It was great to talk with them and we really look forward to their new album, Released which can be pre-ordered on their PledgeMusic page here http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/blackrain. You can check out their new song, Back In Town which is off the new album.
The first time I heard BlackRain is when my son Rockin Ryan played Overloaded for me and I was instantly transformed back to my nights spent on the Sunset Strip in the ’80s. At first I thought I was listening to an old Motley Crue track!! Swan on vocals just blows you away with his powerful voice and he has perfected the high vocal ranges of the ’80s. They have some shredding guitar with off the hook riffs. This band brings back the passion of straight up rock and roll and added a dose of high energy for good measure! We had never expected to see them at NAMM but you never know who you may run into.
BlackRain is:
- Swan: vox/guitars
- Max 2: lead guitar
- MatH: Bass
- Frank F: drumz
