The legendary Alkaline Trio shared another new video yesterday for the single “Break”, just in time for the release of their new record “Blood, Hair And Eyeballs“, which was finally released yesterday via Rise Records.
In the course of last week the band around singer Matt Skiba presented their latest single “Bad Time” live at Jimmy Kimmel.
“Blood, Hair And Eyeballs” was recorded and produced by Grammy-award-winning producer Cameron Webb at Studio 606 in Northridge, California. It presents Alkaline Trio, which reduced their sound to the skin and bone of their distinctive sonic spirit and brought this dark essence into so far unknown territory.
“Blood, Hair And Eyeballs” is not only a dark glowing example of the characteristic mix of ironic-lyrical wit and the bittersweet melodic sensibility of the trio, but also the confluence of endings and beginnings – it’s the first album the band released via the new label Rise Records, but also the last, where long-time band member Derek Grant can be heard, who was part of the band since their classic record “Good Mourning” from 2003.
