The new album, Happy Bastards from Andy Frasco & The U.N. is out now and is definitely a must have. The album which was produced by Rick Parker (Lord Huron, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) and John Avila of Oingo Boingo, and was released on Ruf Records. The album is described as “twelve new songs are an industrial-strength blast of glass-half-full optimism, with the band’s self-styled brand of party blues jostling with funk, soul, rock and roots”.
“I basically picked my favorite musicians from around the world. I have a few guys from the Netherlands, Germany and guys from Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, and California. That’s my favorite thing about music. It’s so universal; it doesn’t matter where you’re from or what language you speak.”
The smooth vocals simply draw you in and hold you captive as you feel the groove and energy flow through the music. Great music and you can check out the album below:
