Buster Shuffle announce new record and share new single "New Badge For My Uniform"

London based ska/punk/rock band Buster Shuffle announced a brand new record today. “Go Steady” will be released March 18th, 2022 via the band’s own label Do Nothing Records.

In addition the band also shared their new single/video “New Badge For My Uniform”.

After the devastating effects of the pandemic and other troubles on tours in Great Britain and Europe, which directly affected British artists, Buster Shuffle decided to finance the album through crowd funding and use the power of the fans to spread the Shuffle-gospel far and wide.

Bandleader Jet Baker comments:

“It was a few hard years with the pandemic and therefor we thought that we ask our loyal fans, that grew with us for more than 10 years, to help us release the album. We have never done something like this, but we saw other bands working with their fans successfully to release music and we thought that our time has come now.”

Jet turned at the peak of the lockdown to the friends of punk music, to release a bad-ass AA-side-7-inch-single “Unsung Heroes” for charitable purposes. Amongst the bands that helped Jet to be part of the songs, that yielded important donations for the World Health Organisation (WHO), were members of Die Toten Hosen, Flogging Molly, Donots, Hepcat, The Mighty Mighty Bostones, Rhoda Dakar, Toy Dolls, Talco and many more.

After this very successful campaign and the great resonance of the fans, Jet and the guys decided to get back into the studio to write new songs for the upcoming 5th studio record, which will hold their greatest songs so far.

“Go Steady” will have 10 ska-punk-rock songs and features “Sucker Punch Blues“, which was released in May as a limited 7-inch-single on various artworks.

“We wanted to add Sucker Punch Blues because it instantly became a fan-favorite. We all thought that the song belongs on the new album, as it is such a banger and we know that people will be happy about it”, Jet says.
