London quartet Buster Shuffle shared their latest single “Masterplan” of the band’s highly anticipated album “Together”, which will be released on March 28th via Do Nothing/Cargo.
From the first note, “Masterplan” kicks in with that signature Buster Shuffle bounce – piano leading the charge, a rhythm section that refuses to sit still, and Jet Baker‘s unmistakable vocal delivery, half a grin, half a challenge. It‘s ska with swagger, a nod to pub singalongs and backroom shenanigans, where everyone‘s in on the joke, and no one‘s sitting down.
“Our fans, the Shuffly Army, are everything to us and supported us from day one. We also wanted to write an album, where we could get together and sing our hearts out. We’re stoked to present this song to them and also a new album.”, Jet says.
The record will include some surprises. A sonic treat was when Jet and the boys managed to get a 2000 strong crowd to sing the hook for the track ‘Take a Pill’, a song about sticking together and navigating through a tough time.
“Times are really tough for a lot of people right now, so we need to look out for each other. Ask your buddy, your partner, your loved ones how they’re doing, put your arm around them, reach out. The ethos of this album is to talk openly, support each other and come together.” – he adds.
