Northern Ghost shares the power of music with their new single, Purge

Music is magical and powerful. Here at Music Junkie Press, we are strong believers that music can help, heal, inspire, comfort, change and do so much more. Whether is a celebratory song, release of angst and pressure, comfort someone, or maybe be the lifeline they need to pull themselves from a dark time in their lives.

Northern Ghost shares the Power of Music with their new single. Check out A Message From Northern Ghost.

(Cleveland, OH) No matter what anyone goes through, there is a song that fits perfectly to any situation you are in, or any emotion you are feeling. The songs that make your good mood better; the ones that spark a memory of a loved one; or arguably most important; the music that is there when you feel like no one else is.
Northern Ghost knows how powerful music can be and makes it evident in their new single, “Purge.” Depression is something that affects so many, but can sometimes be swept under the rug and never talked about again. Touching on this sensitive topic, Vocalist Tony McVaney shared the message behind the song, “This is an emotion too many people feel too often and suppress more than they want to. However, we want people who listen to the single to know there can be change. There is hope, and as lonely as they might feel, they’re really never alone.”
The track is also influenced by the current state of society in politics, technology, media and the relationship each one has on people today, inevitability affecting our well being. It leaves one to reflect on their own life and poses the questions, “What have I done to make sure my small part of the world and relationships with the people in my life are taken care of?” and “Do I deserve the life I have?”
“Purge” is the third single off Northern Ghost’s debut album, “Happy : Sad : Depressed : Suicidal” (out July 7). The band kicks off the release with a run on the Tragic Hero Tour with Dead Rabbitts, I Set My Friends on Fire and SET TO STUN. This is the first ever label branded tour that starts tonight in Austin, TX and wraps up on 7/15 in Fullerton, CA.
McVaney also had an important message for listeners, “If you or someone you know is struggling with depression, it’s okay to ask for help. Through a friend, family member, a hotline, anything, the best way of moving on and getting past it is to just talk about it. There are people who care. We care.”

If our music can do for others what music has done for me,
then I know we’re doing something right.” – Tony McVaney
