Parkway Drive announce new album “Darker Still” and share new single “The Greatest Fear”

Australian rock/metal power package Parkway Drive – Winston McCall (vocals), Luke Kilpatrick (guitar), Jeff Ling (guitar), Jia O’Connor (bass), and Ben Gordon (drums) – announced their 7th record “Darker Still” today, which will be released via Epitaph on September 9th.

“Darker Still” is the band’s first album since their 2018 mega record “Reverence”, which climbed into the top 10 in many countries worldwide and managed to stay there for weeks.

The band also released a masterfully cinematic video for their new song “The Greatest Fear”, which shows them in the midst of a stunning backdrop.

“The greatest fear, the one we all share; this song is about a connecting power which we all have to face – death”, says Winston McCall. “The goal was to create a song, which doesn’t see death as something that seperates us, but something which connects us all on our way. Musically we wanted to create a song that fits the concept. It’s heavy, it’s epic and when it hits, it leaves an impression.”

“The Greatest Fear” follows the release of “Glitch”, a frenetic exploration of things our mind experiences when we aren’t awake – but not asleep either – like fear of the night and sleep paralysis.
