Having just returned with the supercharged new single ‘Oxygen Thief’, The Luka State now take another step towards a huge year ahead with the confirmation of a major UK and European headline tour. The UK leg of the tour includes landmark shows in London (The Lexington) and Manchester (Gorilla), while the European shows will see the band hit Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, France, and Gibraltar. Tickets go on sale on Friday 28th January at 10 am and can be purchased HERE.

As a taste of what to expect from their live experience – explosive energy, full-throttle intensity, and a catalog of killer anthems – The Luka State also share the full video of last year’s headline set at Manchester’s Bread Shed. The gig includes visceral performances of big moments from their debut album ‘Fall In Fall Out’, as well as their current single ‘Oxygen Thief’. Watch it HERE.

Frontman Conrad Ellis says, “For a musician nothing can begin to compare playing live shows night after night. We can’t wait to get back out on the road and play for all our fans, especially the new ones we made supporting The Reytons in October. We were busy bees throughout lockdown and have got a load of new songs we can’t wait to play. It’s gonna be one big sweaty mosh pit night after night.”

The Luka State made a big impression following the release of ‘Fall In Fall Out’ in 2021. Not letting a pandemic hold them back they played 35 shows across Europe in just two months, including two laps of UK gigs supporting The Reytons, as they performed to a combined audience of 20,000 people, and featured on French TV’s live showcase show ‘Taratata’. They still found the time to write a body of supercharged new songs to channel their lockdown frustrations into a cathartic release of pent-up energy. The first new song, ‘Oxygen Thief’, earned comparisons to contemporary and classic bands alike, such as Kid Kapichi, The Blinders, The Libertines, and The Clash.

Tickets for the upcoming tour will be available on Friday, January 28th from 10 am here.

Conrad Ellis (vocals, guitar) and Sam Bell (bass, vocals) first met in their local youth club, New Images in Winsford, Cheshire, when they were just 12-years-old. Their first-ever local show was opening for Bruce Foxton’s From The Jam before they evolved into The Luka State with the addition of Lewis Pusey (guitar) and Jake Barnabas (drums). Music was their reaction to the boredom and apathy of small-town life in Winsford. It’s a place of contrasts. Best known for its salt mining industry and still resolutely working class to this day, its location between Manchester and Liverpool means that many of the locals growing up dream of becoming a footballer or a pop star.

As Conrad summarises, “What’s Winsford famous for? Fucking nothing! Apart from salt and salt mines. We are all the salt of the earth up here.”
