Dirty Honey kicks off Can’t Find the Brakes Tour in San Francisco

Our favorite rockers Dirty Honey kicked off their headlining “Can’t Find the Brakes Tour” last night in San Francisco with a jaw dropping high energy performance at The Regency Ballroom. The band is heading out across North America in support of their blazing new album Can’t Find the Brakes. The night started with a rockin set by Austin Meade who we recently caught at Aftershock Festival 2023.

Dirty Honey features powerhouse vocals by Marc Labelle, incendiary guitar playing from John Notto, thunderous bass from Justin Smolian and it was the first show where we were introduced to the new drummer Jaydon Bean and he definitely blew us away.   They hit the stage and rocked the crowd with a high energy performance of the title track Can’t Find the Brakes. They continued with full force into Heartbreaker and the fans were loving every minute of it.

The band sounded spot on and the charismatic energy of each member flowed seamlessly and effortlessly. It was magical as you witnessed legends in the making performing right there in front of you.  From the first time we met them back in 2018 at Aftershock Festival, we knew they would have a bright future and they are definitely in the spotlight for today’s rock n roll.

Their set was full on rock n roll at its finest; fan favorites, ushering in the new songs – soon to be fan favorites and some ABSOLUTELY AMAZING covers. I don’t want to spoil it but damn hearing them play some Van Halen had us in awe. This show had dramatic lighting that would highlight each member as they showcased their  impressive stage presence.

Check out photos from their set by our Rockin Ryan:

We had the chance to talk with some of the fans and it was such a diverse crowd. There were some seasoned long time rockers who were so elated to see ROCK N ROLL thriving again. They were sharing how Dirty Honey brought the same excitement as when they would see early Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen.  It was also warming to see many young members who are ready to carry the torch for rock n roll live shows.

The tour continues tonight with a stop at Ace of Spades in Sacramento and I hope they are ready for the Dirty Honey rock n roll train as it moves full steam ahead!
