The Fillmore in San Francisco has such amazing history as countless legendary bands have graced the stages. The atmosphere in the venue holds the mojo and vibe of some of the world’s best bands. The Poster Room upstairs houses just a sample of the shows that were held there. This past week, it was history in the making as the fast rising “legends-in-the-making band, The Struts delivered their stellar set to a sold out venue!
It is no surprise to us, to witness how huge this band has grown to be. It was over two years ago that we watched videos of them and hoped one day they would come to the U.S. We knew this band had exactly what Rock n Roll needed to keep it alive and thriving. They held the paddles of life to rock and shocked it back to life, and all the while doing it with such fashion and flare.
The sold out crowd was held captive by Luke’s charismatic performance and stage presence. They were held under his spell as they sang the words to each song, danced, raised their hands, jumped and moved to the music. Addo mesmerized us with his sweet precision playing on his Gibsons and Jed was laying it down on the bass. Gethin brought it all together with his hard hitting drums. These four were spot on and created music that filled the Fillmore and had the Rock Gods smiling in approval. Check out the photos of the night by our Rockin Ryan:
