Skid Row performs for a SOLD OUT SHOW at the Whisky A Go Go

May 20, 2014

This past Saturday at the legendary Whisky a Go Go was a night that many will remember. Skid Row was making a stop at the legendary venue for their United World Rebellion Tour. It was a sold out show and the venue was packed with a crowd that was ready to ROCK!  The opening bands, Ragdoll, No More Solace, State Line Empire, and Shattered Sun all put on excellent sets. We just caught them at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco earlier in the week and they were so spectacular that we wouldn’t miss their Hollywood show. Skid Row has been filling up venue after venue and everyone in attendance will surely agree that they put on an amazing performance.  Skid Row is: Johnny Solinger (vocals) Scotti Hill (guitar) Rachel Bolan (bass) Snake Sabo (guitar) Rob Hammersmith (drums) Once again, they sounded great and Johnny killed it on vocals.  Scotti and Snake are madmen on their guitars as they each dominated their area and commanded the attention of the audience with their amazing guitar work. Skid Row stops in at the DNA Lounge for the United World Rebellion Tour

May 15, 2014

Last night was an awesome night of ROCK n ROLL. We went to the DNA Lounge in San Francisco and the kicked off with a solid set by The Devil in California, then local favorite State Line Empire, Black Star Riders (Thin Lizzy) and ended with the a headlining performance by Skid Row. Make sure to read about all our band features. Skid Row just began their US leg of the United World Rebellion Tour last week and last night it was San Francisco’s turn to be in the spotlight. It was a great crowd that had a range of ages from teens up to seniors. I love seeing the variety in the crowd as it always gives me the hope that rock and roll will never die. Skid Row is: Johnny Solinger (vocals) Scotti Hill (guitar) Rachel Bolan (bass) Snake Sabo (guitar) Rob Hammersmith (drums) They sounded great and Johnny killed it on vocals.  Scotti and Snake are madmen on their guitars as they each dominated their area and commanded the attention of the [Read More]

Long time rockers, TESLA release new song; So Devine

May 5, 2014

One of my long time favorite rock band from Sacramento, TESLA have announced a new album set for release this summer. TESLA locked themselves away for weeks writing the new album and came up with fourteen solid tracks which will be SIMPLICITY. The album was recorded at their bassist Brian Wheat’s very own J Street Recorders. Legendary engineer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue) was then tapped to put the final touches in place. The release date has been set for June 10th, via Tesla Electric Company Recording’s arrangement with Entertainment One Music and Distribution. It is so exciting to hear that new music is only a couple months away. TESLA has been one of my favorite rock bands since forming in 1981. I have probably enjoyed their shows about a couple dozens time over the years and each time, I leave with an even higher appreciation for them! TESLA is Frank Hannon, Brian Wheat, Jeff Keith, Troy Luccketta and Dave Rude.   TESLA released one of their new songs, So Devine today and it is AWESOME!!! Check it out [Read More]

Faith and Bullets make their Hollywood debut at The Whisky a Go Go.

May 4, 2014

Our favorite local band, Faith and Bullets tore up the stage as they made their Sunset Strip debut at The Whisky a GoGo this past Friday night. We were there for the show and wouldn’t have missed it. We first featured Faith and Bullets on our Thirsty Thursdays a feature about bands who are thirsty for ROCK and the power to make it happen! This band is definitely dedicated and one of the hardest working band out here in the area.  All that hard work has paid off for them as they made down to their first of what I am sure to be, shows in Hollywood.  Here is our interview with Faith and Bullets from the Whisky a Go Go:   Faith and Bullets have a sound that blends old 80′s rock  like Motley Crue, Kiss, Poison, and Dokken with what I call “80′s on replay rock” like Crashdiet, Black Veil Brides, and Reckless Love. You have Stevie Mayhem on vocals who not only delivers incredible 80’s inspired vocals but has an amazing stage presence as well.  Rikk Alexander [Read More]

We wanted to bring to your attention a young new band, Tempt which will be making their debut at this year’s Rocklahoma.  These days with all the various genres and subgenres, straight up ROCK n ROLL  seems to get left behind or lost in the shuffle. Take the HIGH ROAD with Night Ranger and check out their new video from their forthcoming album

April 29, 2014

Legendary rockers Night Ranger have released a new video for their song, High Road which is off their forthcoming album of the same title. The album is due out on June 10th in North America via Frontier Records.  High Road was produced by the band themselves and will be available in a standard CD format as well as a deluxe DVD edition which will feature a bonus track, video clips and a look at the making of the album. Check out the video for High Road here:   Once again Night Ranger do a great job at bringing the perfect fun track, as bassist/vocalist Jack Blades called “the feel-good song of the summer.” It is definitely the perfect feel good song, catchy lyrics, sweet guitars and that signature Night Ranger melodic rock sound which is infectious. The song was co-written with Jack’s son, Colin and it is amazing! It definitely has me excited for this new album.  So mark your calendars for June 10th or you can head over to Amazon and get your pre-order in for the [Read More]
