Tom Keifer ROCKS the Ace of Spades in Sacramento and proves that Rock n Roll is alive and thriving!

September 28, 2015

Last Friday night at the Ace of Spades was definitely the place to be! Tom Keifer was making a stop on his The Way Life Goes solo tour to Sacramento and we definitely were not going to miss it. The night started off with a high energy set from local favorites, Force of Habit. These guys truly rock the stage and got the crowd fired up. The second Tom hit the stage, the crowd went wild. His vocals were timeless and sounded spot on, giving me chills as he sang. Everybody around us was in awe of his performance and were truly enjoying the set. Whether you were there to hear Tom’s stellar songs from his highly acclaimed solo record, The Way Life Goes or were a die-hard Cinderella fan, you were in the right place! Tom played several of his solo hits like It’s Not Enough, The Flower Song, A Different Light and Solid Ground sprinkled in with Cinderella faves like Somebody Save Me, Shake Me, Heartbreak Station, Nobody’s Fool, Coming Home and more. New Years Day deliver a paramount performance at Ace of Spades

December 5, 2014

We have had the great pleasure of seeing New Years Day nearly half a dozen times in just the last couple years and on Wednesday we saw them once again as they returned to the Ace of Spades as they are out on tour with The Birthday Massacre.  New Years Day have the knack of putting on a whole of a performance every time and this time, I believe they outdid themselves. They were absolutely on point the entire night with energy abound and truly reaching a peak of perfection with their music. Ash Costello is truly an amazing vocalist and artist, her stage presence captivates the crowd and she invites them to join in her in singing the songs. The audience was fully engaged from start to finish. Anthony is a madman on bass and you he has great powerful backing vocals. Nikki Misery is absolutely stellar in his fierce guitar shredding as he is bouncing around the stage with leaps and jumps that will have your eyes wide open. The Birthday Massacre bring their eclectic new wave rock blend to Ace of Spades

December 4, 2014

What an amazing night for music at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento it was yesterday. We will be bringing you our full coverage of all the bands from the night but let’s start it off with our feature on The Birthday Massacre. Hailing from Canada, this hybrid new wave, gothic rock and electronic infused band really made an impression on Sacramento! It was a stormy day that left the roads flooded in some parts of Sacramento but that didn’t stop the dedicated fans from coming out to the show. After braving the 3 1/2 hour drive in rain and dodging the lightning storm, we were glad to finish off the night with a stellar set from The Birthday Massacre. Their music is as if they gave a refreshing vibrant makeover to the 90’s new wave synth dates, without feeling dated. Their energy was infectious as they each have a cinematic stage presence. We were treated to many of their songs from their recently released album, Superstition and each one had you wanting more. I was [Read More]
