Check out our coverage of Escape the Fate at Aftershock Festival

September 26, 2014

One band we wanted to make sure to see at Aftershock Festival was none other than Escape the Fate. They have been longtime favorites of ours and to see them perform at this year’s Aftershock was a true highlight. They conquered the 100+ temps and delivered the fans a powerful energetic set. They came right out and started off with my favorite track, You’re Insane. The crowd went wild and if you didn’t think they could get any louder, they did. Everyone was moving around and singing along when they played another favorite, Gorgeous Nightmare. Check out photos from the set by our Rockin Ryan here:   The setlist included the following: You’re Insane Gorgeous Nightmare One For The Money Ungrateful Issues The Aftermath (G3) Escape the Fate will be heading out on tour in Europe with Glamour of the Kill and New Years Day. Check out our photos of AWOLNATION from Aftershock Festival

September 22, 2014

Another great performance at Aftershock Festival was given by AWOLNATION. This was my first time seeing them live, I have been waiting for a while and it always seemed that when they came to town, I was out of town. This time I was not going to miss them. They were incredible and just created a great vibe that spread through the sea of fans. There is something welcoming about this band, their stage presence and music is so inviting. It was great to see the variety of fans that they have and even see some serious metalheads enjoying their set. Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan: AWOLNATION is currently working on a new album and we can’t wait for it. You can pick up their Megalithic Symphony (Deluxe Edition) on iTunes here. Nothing More releases video for Mr. MTV and see them out on tour now!

September 21, 2014

Nothing More have released a new music video and this time it is for my FAVORITE song of theirs, Mr. MTV. This is one powerful track that has some very thought provoking lyrics. The first time I heard them play this was last year when we saw them perform at Aftershock 2013. They blew us away and this year, they did it again. Check out the new video here: This is one band that exceeds all your expectations with their live performances. From their three man bass solo and their full band percussion performance, everyone is left in awe of their over the top stage presence. They are currently out on tour with Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat and Hellyeah. Definitely a must see tour. Black Label Society dominated Aftershock with their stellar set

September 20, 2014

Aftershock Festival truly was filled with so many great bands but one set that really stood out was the performance by Black Label Society. It is hard at festivals since you could have several bands playing at the same time but Black Label Society dominated the crowd. Their crowd was filled with both, longtime and new Berzerkers of all ages. Nothing stopped the dedicated fans as they braved the intense 100+ temps to bear witness to the shredding madness of Zakk and his crew. The set was stellar and the fans went wild, begging for more. If one thing I wanted, was a longer set since I could have watched them all day long! Check out the photos by our Rockin Ryan of the set: If you weren’t able to make it to Aftershock, don’t worry, Black Label Society have been quite busy on some heavy duty touring and it will start again in October. Check the dates and make sure to not miss them if they are coming to a venue even remotely [Read More]

Watch Heaven’s Basement new music video for Lights Out in London

September 18, 2014

UK rockers, Heaven’s Basement have released their music video for their straight up Rock track, Lights Out In London.  The song is off their highly acclaimed Filthy Empire album which is out on Red Bull Records. The song is one of my favorites as it really highlights how these four talented musicians know how to kick ass and bring the life back in to Rock n Roll. They have had quite a year with extensive touring and we can’t wait for them to return to California. Check out their new video here: Their song Be Somebody was announced as the theme song for the 2014 Red Bull Air Race. Guitarist Sid Glover even took to the skies for a test flight with one of the pilots. It looks like a lot of fun. You can check out their song Be Somebody and even get a free download of it from Red Bull Records:   Make sure you have your copy of Filthy Empire, you can pick it up on Itunes,  Amazon, and their online store.    We have had the [Read More]

Quick peek at our Aftershock Festival 2014 coverage

September 18, 2014

Aftershock Festival 2014 was a great success. The show went off beautifully. Yes, the heat might have been unbearable and with the drought this year, we had to endure a lot more dust but the music kicked ass from start to finish. This is definitely California’s Number One Music Festival and we are already looking forward to next year. Bay Area band Dig The Kid kicked off the entire festival and Godsmack closed it out on Sunday night. Every single set was awesome and just proves to the naysayers that Rock n Roll is Alive and Well! So many great bands, interviews and photo galleries coming your way soon. I know many of you can’t wait so how about I give you a quick tease of several of the bands we covered. We are still working, so if you don’t see your favorite band, don’t worry, we may have them in the next batch! All photos are by our Rockin Ryan which you can follow on his Instagram/RockinRyanSixx as well as Twitter.com/rockinryan :     In case [Read More]
