November 26, 2014

We all know the amazing vocals of Dellacoma Rio, former frontman of Australian Hard Rock Band, Sunset Riot and now you can once again enjoy his signature vocals with his new band, Dellacoma. Dellacoma is set to release their debut full length album, South of Everything next year. 2015 definitely promises to be a busy year as Rio explains, “2015 will see the release of our debut full length album titled “South of Everything” This is exciting for me because I’ve never released a full length record before! We will be releasing a couple of videos and of course, more touring!” I know you are ready for some straight up rock n roll and Dellacoma is ready to deliver. They are premiering their new song, My Kinda Woman which is off their upcoming album. Rio comments on the song, “I like to think of ‘My Kinda Woman’ as a masculine love song. It’s straight up and in your face, full of passion and emotion as well as desire. The inspiration is my beautiful wife, we’ve been together 3 and a [Read More]

Concert Review William Control – Munich, Backstage/Werk, 11/24/2014, Contributed by Alexandra

November 26, 2014

Contributed by Alexandra Going through concert announcements a few weeks ago, I spotted William Control playing in Munich. Unfortunately not a headliner tour, but some acts you just need to see live any opportunity you can get. It was William Control’s first time in Germany with this project. Last time was seven years ago with Aiden. That evening he opened for Combichrist. As it is common in Munich and probably some others places too, the room’s not really crowded, when the opening act gets on stage. I couldn’t say how many people really heard of William Control before. If they’d known more about him, there definitely would’ve been more people at the beginning of his show. He started the set with ‘All due restraint’ from the 2010 released album ‘Noir’. Throughout the show he played songs from all his albums ‘Novus Ordo seclorum’, ‘Hate culture’ and ‘Neuromancer’. William was constantly moving around on stage, throwing and catching his mic or circling it around his neck. No standstill whatsoever. It’s fun to watch and the [Read More]

Blue October SWAY concert review by guest contributor by Mark Iman

November 19, 2014

by Guest Contributor Mark Iman, MarkImanConcertReview.blogspot.com November 12, 2014 kicked off the final installment of touring for Blue October’s most recent album, SWAY, at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland. Starting the evening off was Harvard Of The South, a side project created by Blue Octobers Justin Furstenfeld, Matt Noveskey, Jeremy Furstenfeld and longtime collaborator and friend Steve Schiltz of Hurricane Bells and Longwave.  The band recently released a 5 song EP titled Miracle and is currently available at the shows. I made sure to grab my copy and have a hard time switching to anything else. It has a great old school grunge feel only with less teenage angst.  As I heard someone in the crowd state “Imagine if Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins had an illegitimate love child, this would be it.” Being that all the bands listed are a staple in music history I see no better way to compliment them and look forward to hearing more music in the future. The show started with a brief video telling everyone about the [Read More]
