Take a listen to the first single Say F*ck it off Buckcherry’s new album

August 6, 2014

Buckcherry have just a little less than two weeks away from the release of their new EP which is titled…. FUCK. FUCK is set for an August 19th release! You may be wondering about the title but there is much more to the four letter word title. “This is a tribute to the word ‘fuck’… Over the years, we’ve been told so many times to get away from the honesty that makes this band special. It’s a part of who I am. It’s not about the profanity itself; it’s about using it cleverly.” – Josh Todd posted on their Facebook page.   One thing is for sure, I am really looking forward to this EP. Buckcherry have always made the music that they wanted to and have maintained to keep the honesty in their music. So I applaud them again for continuing to keep themselves grounded and making great music!  Pre-orders for the new EP are available now by visiting here: iTunes Pre-Order. Are you ready for the first single? Well here it is, take a listen to [Read More]

BAND TO KNOW: Circleswitch for some modern hard rock with a punch

August 5, 2014

Today we put the spotlight on the hard working modern rock band from Milwaukee that is known as Circleswitch. These four guys are not a new band but it is time that everyone knows about them. They are like a hidden rock gem that I have recently discovered and now I want to share the great treasure with you. Circleswitch is: Kenny James -Vocals Danny Rodic -guitars, back up vocals Johnny RockIt Wahlen – Bass Eddie Gunz -Drums Their sound can be described as modern rock with a side of metal and old school rock. The bring a fresh new sound to melodic hard rock by creating their own unique style and not falling in to the patterns of the genre lines of today. They are straight up rock n roll with fierce guitars, crunchy basslines, precision drumming and vocals that are straight up powerful with a gravelly grunge attitude! Check out a couple of their music videos here, watch them in order so you can see the story of Butch unfold.     Make [Read More]

EMPIRES announce the upcoming release of Orphan as major label debut

August 5, 2014

Empires was one of our featured bands for Bottle Rock Festival and they did an awesome job and were one of the festival highlights. Empires have announced their major label debut Orphan, out September 23rd on Chop Shop/Island Records. Produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, The Black Angels, Explosions in the Sky), Orphan is a collection of songs immersed in classic post punk and indie rock n’ roll circa 1989-1991, exploring the sonic adventures and emotional heft of artists such as Roxy Music, Wire, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. Check out their track, Please Don’t Tell My Lover here:   From the first time I listened to Empires, I was taken back to the nightlife of the ’90s as I would go club hopping and enjoy grunge, alternative, and mod.  It was a time for you to feel the music and literally have it take over you. Empires are an Indie Alternative band from Chicago that do just that. You can’t help but listen to them and be “in the moment”. Fantastic songwriting, blended with [Read More]
