Lacuna Coil is our Monster Energy Aftershock Featured Band of the Day

July 25, 2014

Lacuna Coil is probably one of my favorite bands today. I am ecstatic to see them on the lineup for this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival. They are going to give the crowd one of the best empowering sets they have seen in a while. It will be great to hear from the poor souls who have never seen them or heard of them before and what they think about them after.  It is amazing to watch the intensity that Lacuna Coil brings to life on the stage. You are absolutely captivated by all five of them during their performance. They each have excellent stage presence and bring this intense level of symphonic style melody to metal that is just addictive and one of my faves. Band Members: Cristina Scabbia – Vocals Andrea Ferro – Vocals Marco Coti Zelati – Bass Marco ‘Maus’ Biazzi – Guitars Ryan Blake Folden – Drums   Current Music: Broken Crown Halo – amazing album from start to finish. Check out our Breathe Carolina coverage from Warped Tour

July 22, 2014

All Hail the Mighty Kevin at Computer Care! Why you ask? Because he was able to salvage some of our external hard drive that held two days of Warped Tour coverage…..So now that bits of our little WD drive is back at the office where it belongs, it is time for us to unleash the first batch of photos which includes Breathe Carolina! Breathe Carolina were amazing both days of our coverage. One thing is for sure, with all of our interviews and running around, we rarely get the time to see every band’s set and even more rare to catch them twice. But with Breathe Carolina, we put everything aside to make sure we were able to see them twice. That is how incredible their shows are. The crowd was filled from front to back, weaving in between the booths. It was a frickin party out there! Check out Rockin Ryan’s photos from their sets:   Breathe Carolina is performing the whole tour of Warped Tour and will continue to draw some of the largest and [Read More]

Five Finger Death Punch is our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day

July 21, 2014

Today our spotlight is on a band that delivered one of the best sets at last year’s Aftershock Festival. We are pleased to announce the return of Five Finger Death Punch and they are our Featured Band of the Day. Their  performance was awesome last year. These guys came out with adrenaline running through their veins and they did not let up on their fierce energy. The crowd was intense and Ivan had control of them from the front of the pit to the very back of the crowd. His magnetic drew them all in as they were then treated to the spectacular guitar shredding by Jason Hook and Zoltan Bathory. But then you couldn’t help but watch the beard, the man himself, Chris Kael, bassist extraordinaire. Then you couldn’t help but look back and see the ever smiling Jeremy Spencer who just KICKS ASS on the drums and doesn’t miss a beat. He is always so damn happy and looks like he is having a hell of a time, they all do. These guys truly [Read More]

New Medicine is our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day

July 19, 2014

We are excited to feature once again New Medicine as our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day. They have been hard at work with their new album, Breaking the Model and it is getting closer to the release date of August 25th via Imagen Records. Breaking the Model was produced by Kevin Kaddish (Skillet, OAR) and is the follow up to one of my favorite must have CDs, Race You To The Bottom. They recently released their lyric video for their new single off the album, One Too Many.  Singer Jake Scherer explains more about the song, “The song is about excessiveness. Everybody is guilty of that — whether it’s drinking or something else. We all hit the point where we say, ‘Now, I probably shouldn’t have this one more, but I’ll do it anyway!’ That’s the fun part of life. You never know unless you go too far. That’s also a metaphor for how we perceive music. We want to cross the line.” So get ready for the much anticipated return of New Medicine [Read More]

3 Doors Down – Songs From the Basement Tour Review by Meryl DeWitt

July 18, 2014

The summer has been filled with intense guitar solos and hard head banging music, but sometimes it’s nice to sit back and relax to a soft rock show. 3 Doors Down proved with their acoustic tour, Songs From the Basement, that rock ‘n’ roll doesn’t always have to be pyrotechnics and tight leather pants. As lead singer Brad Arnold jokes, this is pretty much band practice. His statement couldn’t be more true, because just like band practice, the guys laughs and have a good time, as well as include the audience in their shenanigans. It’s a very upbeat environment that gives the fans a much stronger connection to the good ol’ southern boys from Mississippi.   However, during a set that consists of tracks from all across 3 Doors Down’s many albums, the powerful performances of songs like Landing In London and Here Without You will really pull tears to the corner of your eyes. You’ll get a chance to hear many tracks off of the recently released Greatest Hits, as well as songs off [Read More]
