There comes a time when you first hear a band and you literally are taken aback with their sound. You just crank it up louder and louder and push replay and repeat just so you can make sure you are hearing what you are hearing. YOU ARE INSTANTLY IN LOVE! I can’t help but describe it ,except as complete ear porn. Well, tonight that has happened for me…. My son asked me earlier to check out a band for him. I put it off since I was working and then just as I was about to go to bed, I saw the note scribbled by him…. ‘Check out BITERS – love Hallucination Generation”  So I did decided to look them up. State Line Empire takes over the Whisky!

Okay Bay Area, you better have your calendars marked for June 15th and have your tickets ready for another awesome show at the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco!  Who is going to be playing???? Well, how about the kick ass rock and roll of State Line Empire!  Now I have your attention. Love and a .38 is our 2nd gift for 12 Days of Christmas!

12 Days of Rock Christmas!   Day 2 On the 2nd day of Christmas my rock and roll love gave to me the KICK ASS ROCK of Love and a .38! Oh ya, more true style rock and roll for you on this second day. Love and a .38 has been one of my favorite bands for a while now. When you think of the history of Sunset Strip and Rock and Roll, what comes to mind is The Whiskey, Troubadour, Gazzari’s, The Roxy, The Rainbow and bands like Smile! Tryx! Ratt! Van Halen! Motley Crue! Ally Cats! There are too many to name but I personally enjoyed many weekends on the Sunset Strip during the 80’s and 90’s and they provided some of my best memories of great rock and roll whether it was 80’s Hairbands, Glamour Rock, GlamPunk, it was all great!  So when I first heard Love and a .38 it took me back to those great days and here we are in 2012 and people can experience the excitement of finding [Read More]
