According to press releases, the song marks the beginning of a new era for the band. Chris Motionless (singer) on the song: “20 years ago, I stepped into a tour van with my best friends, having no idea what was next every mile we drove down the road. Funny enough, we broke down two hours later in the AM hours in a snowstorm. We had to sleep on the floor of a rest stop on the side of the Interstate and wait what felt like forever for a tow truck. We were forced to cancel the first few shows of our first tour ever, and to figure out how to scrape up every cent we could to try and get the van fixed and get back on the road. Nothing was ever going to stop us. There was never a doubt that we would find a [Read More]

Architects share new single and announce new album

November 21, 2024

British Metalcore giants Architects shared their new single “Whiplash” yesterday. True to its name, the track delivers head-spinning intensity, blending heavy instrumentation with stomping rock riffs and furious screams from vocalist Sam Carter. Known for creating massive sonic landscapes, Architects once again bring a brutal, circle-pit anthem with “Whiplash”, featuring one of their catchiest choruses alongside a bone-crushing metalcore breakdown. Architects drummer Dan Searle says: “We’ve long admired director ‘Specter’ for his work with Rammstein so it was a pleasure to bring him in for this song to create something for us. His visual concept gave life to the words in a unique way that may create more questions than answers, but sometimes that’s the beauty in art. “‘Whiplash’ marks the beginning of a new era for Architects. It is a song that speaks of tribalism, of a deepening chasm that lies between human beings based simply on opinions and beliefs. It gave us the opportunity to explore these concepts in a way that we haven’t before and for the first time in a while [Read More]

August 20, 2024

Welsh Post-Hardcore-legends Casey introduced the video for their single “For Katie” from their third album “How To Disappear“, released via Hassle Records, today. “For Katie” is released ahead of Casey’s performance at the Heavy Music Awards 2024 alongside Neck Deep, Graphic Nature, and unpeople. It will be the last performance of Casey before singer Tom Weaver has to recover from open heart surgery (check HERE for Tom’s statement). On “For Katie” he says: “The song itself was spurred by a single conversation I had with a friend. She was showing me photos of her and I from high school, and I couldn’t remember anything at all about them. To my eyes, I looked like a completely different, happier person. It drove a sense of worry about how much of my life had been lost to a sadness I’ve never been able to define. “The footage was captured by Sarai Kelley over the course of the two and a half weeks we spent around Europe in March/April of this year.” For more information on the band, [Read More]
