Crown The Empire share new single “Black Sheep”

March 23, 2023

Post-metalcore quartet, Crown The Empire share the next single from their forthcoming fifth studio album DOGMA out April 28th via RiseRecords. “Black Sheep,” joins previously released “DOGMA,” “Immortalize,” “In Another Life” featuring Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, and “Dancing With The Dead.” “We’ve tackled many lofty ideas with the singles we’ve released thus far but with ‘Black Sheep’ we wanted to bring it back down to earth to our early days as a band. When we were playing together in a garage and making songs with a “fuck you” attitude, just for the sake of doing it,” shares vocalist Andy Leo. “We kept that spirit alive with ‘Black Sheep’ and aim to provide a solid 3:52 seconds of in-your-face energy that young crown would’ve loved. We hope you love it too.” DOGMA, produced and mixed by ZachJones (Fever 333, Poorstacy, Scene Queen, Nova Twins), is a diverse album fueled by angst, existential identity, isolation, and determination. Over the last three years, the band took time to reflect on personal and collective priorities. This introspection is reflected lyrically [Read More]

It’s that kind of experience that shapes us and the lyrics on our album”. The video for Two Worlds Apart was directed [Read More]

January 31, 2023

The Devil Wears Prada released another new single from their latest record “Color Decay”. The song comes with a video. Check out “Cancer”! “Lyrically, this song is about how many of the people I have looked up to and idolized have ended up committing suicide. It is something that has always made me question if I was on the right path in my own life. During the recording process, we learned of a another death, and I immediately assumed it was suicide. It ended up that this person had been secretly battling cancer for years, and for some reason, that made me feel relieved. The track addresses how messed up that thought process is and the guilt that comes along with it.” The Devil Wears Prada on facebook The Devil Wears Prada will be joining August Burns Red on their 20 year anniversary tour through the US. Casey return with new single “Great Grief”

December 6, 2022

Welsh post-hardcore-legends Casey return after a four year hiatus with their mind-blowing new single “Great Grief”, which is released via Hassle Records. Singer Tom Weaver on the song: “For the five of us it’s something special. It was the first piece of music we wrote collectively after deciding that we wanted to do this again, and it felt like an organic progression when it came together. Musically we wanted to maintain an anchor in the familiar, but challenge ourselves to produce a more mature and expansive sound. We put a lot of thought into the sound design, adding layers and harmonies – all things we’d not really put much effort into previously. Lyrically, the song talks about the realisation I came to after reflecting on our time as a band following our break-up. When we announced we were drawing Casey to a close, I’d tunnelled on the immediate personal impact of my writing, and how it felt like I was proliferating my pain by repeating it each night. But I’m in a much better place [Read More]

Vocalist Telle Smith on the new song: „‚Nocturnal Future‘ is meant to be unexpected, and from the moment it starts I think you feel a new energy in the music we haven’t captured before. I wanted to encapsulate all of the things our fans have loved into one song, intricate guitars, flashy yet tasteful drums, meaningful lyrics and melodies you’ll want to sing along too. Lyrically, it’s a call to each of us to try to do more in a world seemingly hell bent on destroying itself. By the end of the song we want you to have pictured yourself at our show losing your mind, hopefully we’ll see you soon!“ Over the past months, the band has been working on album number seven, which can be expected in 2023.
