Motorhead release “Aftershock” Today!

October 22, 2013

Today is the day for the  new release, “Aftershock” by Motörhead. Talk about a band that can keep putting out incredible in your face original “heavy rocky n roll”. Here is a band that is coming up on a 40 year history and is still rockin like the first years. Lemmy Kilmister started this band back in 1975 and over they years they have had lineup changes with guitar and drums but Lemmy has KICKED ASS throughout. So make sure to head over to your local music store or Itunes and pick up your copy! Some of my absolute favorites are Heartbreaker, Lost Woman Blues, Dust and Glass, Silence When You Speak To Me, and Paralyzed. It is hard because there are a lot to choose from. Lost Woman Blues really brings out a fantastic blues vibe and highlights Lemmy’s vocals.  Phillip’s guitar work takes a hold of me and I am in another dimension, I love it!  “Queen of the Damned” is another ferocious track that brings the intensity from the first note to [Read More]

Buckcherry makes announcement about Jimmy Ashhurst’s departure

October 16, 2013

We just recently learned of Jimmy Ashhurst’s departure from Buckcherry through a post on Buckcherry’s website today: Oct.16.2013 An Important Message From The Band Regarding Jimmy Recently many of you have been contacting us wondering what exactly is going on with our current line up, our bassist, and generally wondering why we haven’t addressed this directly. For the sake of setting the record straight and letting our fans know what’s up, here it is:   With heavy hearts and with great difficulty we have decided to part ways with our long time bandmate Jimmy Ashhurst. This was not an easy decision, nor was it a rash decision made in haste. It’s not our desire to air dirty laundry or inner band circumstances that brought about this result. Every band has its issues, and while we have gone to great lengths to minimize them and work through them, this band has had its own issues like any other. We in no way wish to put Jimmy in an unfavorable light. Simply put, we felt it was in [Read More]

Fault Line release new album “Cloud 9” and it ROCKS!

October 13, 2013

Fault Line from Upland, California is delivering their new brand of music, “Modern Classic” Rock that they describe as loud/rude aggressive blus/rock n roll. What I call it is a perfect match. These guys hit the stage and they are there to ROCK YOU! I had the opportunity to catch them earlier this year as they performed at the historic Whisky in Hollywood, CA and they were awesome. Most recently Fault Line released their new CD/Album “Cloud 9” and after listening, it will have you on your own rockin Cloud 9. This album truly delivers some old school rock with a modern flair. They highlight each of the member’s talent on all songs. Sometimes you find an album that has some Kick ass Drums, or some amazing guitar work or vocals and you seem to forget the rest. Not this album, each member has their glory moment on songs and it will have you appreciating all their talent. Fault Line is Brian Karrick on lead vocals, Jeff Mordhorst on Bass, Jeremy Schoen on Lead Guitar [Read More]

Sebastian Bach working on new album with Duff McKagan, Steve Stevens and John 5!

October 8, 2013

I remember the first time I ever saw Sebastian Bach. He was with Skid Row (who are we kidding… HE IS SKID ROW, anyway back to the story!!!) and they were the opening act for Aerosmith at the Cow Palace in Daly City (near San Francisco) and it was 1989. I had waited in line since 7 am with about another 100 crazy Aerosmith fans just so we could be up front and on the rail.  It was amazing because as I was front and center ready to watch Aerosmith, I didn’t know that I was about to meet what soon became one of my all time favorite bands…..  Skid Row came out and Sebastian Bach just had everyone on their feet and READY TO ROCK!! The crowd was rushing up front at the first song… Yes, security was even yelling….. GET BACK or should I say…. GET BACH!!!! Ok, seriously it was intense, I knew that this young kid was soon going to take over the rock and roll world. Fast forward to today [Read More]

The Relapse Symphony heading out on the Bad Blood Tour!

August 23, 2013

When you think of Washington, DC, the first thing that may come to your mind is politics but after hearing The Relapse Symphony all that will be changed. You will be forever changed by the true rock and roll that is The Relapse Symphony! They currently have their EP, Time’s Running Out that you can get now on Itunes and other music sites. This EP delivers solid drumming by Tyler Gloyd, hooky as hell guitar by JC Charles and Alex Foxx,  captivating vocals by Bret Von Dehl and slamming bass by Brandon Kile.  Every song takes you on a musical journey and “Make Your Move” has one of the catchiest chorus and “The Other Side of Town” is like a fusion of Green Day and Motley Crue. I love that they put all their influences on the table and just created a work of art that defines no boundaries. They are rock and roll and they are here to stay! Check out their video for their single, “Panic” which is one of my favorites [Read More]
