Defences – new single “Say It” out now!

June 29, 2021

Alternative-metal formation Defences released their new single “Say It” yesterday. The band already has club-headliner status in the UK and looks back on tours with Our Last Night, Mallory Knox and Our Hollow, Our Home. They will also be playing on next years Download festival. Check out the new song/video: “Say It” was created in cooperation with producer Daniel Kerr. Frontwoman Cherry and her co-singer Will on the new song: “The most confrontational Defences song yet. The cards are on the table. It’s anger and it isn’t shy about it – honest anger, disappointment in something, someone or even in yourself.“ – Cherry / Vocals “‘Say It’ is aimed at the people who try to bring you down from your passion. It is quite poignant for myself having had to deal with constant blows to my musical self-esteem in the past. This song is directed to all those who’ve wasted time or made me lose sight of my passion for music in the past and question my abilities, as we often do to ourselves from [Read More]

Hacktivist release new version of “Reprogram”

May 4, 2021

UK grime-metal quintet Hacktivist have revealed a new take on their single ‘Reprogram’, originally released in 2019. The new version, which features on their eagerly anticipated album “Hyperdialect”, sees Hacktivist’s new line-up put a fresh spin and shine on their earlier material, with new instrumentation throughout. Check out the new recording of ‘Reprogram’. “Hyperdialect” will be released on June 18th via UNFD. Co-vocalist Jot Maxi comments: “There’s a double meaning to this one. Society needs reprogrammed, Hacktivist has been reprogrammed, so if you’re listening and you’re vibing out to it, have a little think about what you might need to do in your own life to reprogram – to make yourself like yourself better, or to have less regret. Society needs a reboot, our band has had a reboot, so why don’t you? At the same time, it’s got this little science fiction story within it, about a future that breaks down and actually needs reprogrammed from zero. In an ideal world, hopefully, we will have all reprogrammed before anything like that happens to us [Read More]

Architects – new record “For Those That Wish To Exist” released today

February 26, 2021

The wait is over! UK Metalcore giants Architects released their 9th studio record “For Those That Wish To Exist” today via Epitaph. It follows their Top 10 record “Holy Hell” from 2018, which dealt with the tragic loss of the bands’ guitarist and brother Tom Searle. The first few releases from the record – Dead Butterflies, Animals and Black Lungs – all have a few million views already on Youtube. Their latest single ‘Meteor’ was released only a few days ago: The band was joined by special guests Mike Kerr (Royal Blood), Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro) and Winston McCall (Parkway Drive) on FTTWTE. The album is self-produced and deals with how to proceed with planet Earth despite the continuing, slow destruction by its human inhabitants. The Brits were always pretty open on their cooperation with Sea Shepherd (Sam Carter is an ambassador for Sea Shepherd), their open critic on foxhunts as well as the production of sustainable merchandise. But despite the partly hopeless situation, the band doesn’t give up the fierce fight and looks hopefully ahead. [Read More]

Papa Roach announce co-headline tour with Hollywood Undead for Europe

October 30, 2019

Papa Roach just announced a co-headliner tour with Hollywood Undead. European fans are the lucky ones that can enjoy this awesome package in 2020. The tour launches on February 16th  in Barcelona/Spain. ‘For years we thought about going on tour in this combination. We have often shared the same stages at shows and festivals, but we have never properly toured together. We like to join with bands that move around in the same circles. That way we can bring the fans together and both bands can present themselves. For the others it’s a great opportunity, to steal fans from us….but it’s the same for us the other way round.’ A third act will be joining the bands. ‘We haven’t fixed anything yet on who will be the opener. There are a few on the table, so we have to announce that later.’ For more information on the tour go to http://paparoach.com/tour . In 2020 the band celebrates the 20-year anniversary of their debut record ‘Infest’. The record has platinum status. Songs like ‘Last Resort’ and [Read More]
