We Came As Romans release new single “One By One”

August 20, 2025

Michigan metalcore titans We Came As Romans have announced their highly anticipated new album, ‘ALL IS BEAUTIFUL…BECAUSE WE’RE DOOMED’, a while ago. Time is flying fast and the release is almost upon us – Friday, August 22nd! The announcement arrived alongside the release of the album’s third single, “culture wound,” and its accompanying official music video. Following the defiant anthems “bad luck” and “no rest for the dreamer,” this track dives deep into the battle between our best and worst impulses. “culture wound” confronts the fundamental question at the heart of human existence: are we inherently good or inherently bad? The track wrestles with the forces—both internal and external—that shape who we become, delivered through the band’s signature blend of crushing riffs and soaring melodies. “culture wound is about taking a look inside and deciding which side of yourself is going to control your life. This song was written to question our human nature – is it inherently good or inherently selfish? Are we here to try and make something better for everyone or just [Read More]

Bury Tomorrow, We Came As Romans, Kingdom Of Giants live in Munich

February 3, 2024

“Last time there were just a few crowd surfers,” they said. “This shouldn’t be too stressful,” they said. Didn’t take long until everyone realized, it wouldn’t be chill at all. Actually, the fans and the bands kept security pretty busy. Cudos to security, they did an amazing job of catching everyone and seeing them safely out of the pit. Kingdom Of Giants had an almost full house to start the night. They did a good job of getting the crowd ready for the following bands. So performance-wise they were great, but the sound was awful. Somehow the sound guy didn’t really find the right balance especially when it came to bass. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good bass, but this was just too much. Sometimes it was quite hard to get which song the band just played, cuz every time the bass hit, everything started tingling and it sounded like mash. Thankfully the sound got better when We Came As Romans hit the stage. They started their set with the title track of [Read More]

We Came As Romans – new record “Darkbloom” out TODAY

October 13, 2022

Metalcore legends We Came As Romans released their new album “Darkbloom” today. It’s their first new album in five years and also the first one after the passing of Kyle Pavone. So it’s safe to say, this record was highly anticipated. Speaking on the highly anticipated news of the release of their new album, We Came As Romans guitarist, Josh Moore shares: “We are so excited to finally be able to announce the release of our next record Darkbloom. This will be our first record in five years, and we want to thank you all for being patient with us as we were figuring out if we could, and how we could continue moving forward as a band. We wrote this record about all the feelings we felt, and all the emotional places we lived in, navigating the loss of our brother Kyle. Every song is about a different part of our lives over the past few years, an insight to the struggles we had, and how we were able to make it to where [Read More]

We Came As Romans share new video for “Daggers”

November 14, 2021

We Came As Romans just wrapped its successful To Plant a Seed anniversary tour with countless sold-out shows. Last week they shared a new video for the song “Dagger” feat. Zero 9:36. “‘Daggers’ was the song on the record that was written, and rewritten, over and over again”, the band offers. “It was a wild ride of us just trying to create a song that sounded unlike something we’ve done before — a new journey for the listener that they weren’t used to hearing from us. We couldn’t think of a better way to do that than to introduce an entire verse of Zero, and try to make a genre-connecting bridge”. The band continues, “Lyrically, ‘Daggers’ is about that inner battle that we all go through — the talks you have with yourself about whether or not you’re good enough, smart enough, or just enough in general. The lyrics are about conquering that battle, being able to emerge victorious and be sure about your self worth and your value as a person. With the acknowledgement [Read More]

We Came As Romans share video for “Black Hole”

September 8, 2021

We Came As Romans have shared the video for their brand new single “Black Hole”, featuring Beartooth’s Caleb Shomo. “‘Black Hole’ was the very last song that we wrote for the record”, the band says. “We had this idea of what we wanted it to sound like, and we wrote a bunch of music for it throughout our time in L.A. But we were never really satisfied with what we created. With only a week left in the studio, we had finally created something that we were all stoked about — and it was time to put a message to the song”. Stephens continues: “The lyrics to ‘Black Hole’ are about dealing with the anxiety that you feel going through life. For me, at the time, the anxiety I was feeling in dealing with loss and the grieving process. But we wanted to leave the song open ended enough for our fans to relate to, with anything they were going through. That anxiety is sometimes so crushing, and so heavy, and you have to deal [Read More]

We Came As Romans share video for their new song “Darkbloom”

July 17, 2021

We Came As Romans – Joshua Moore [guitar], Dave Stephens [vocals], Lou Cotton [guitar], Andy Glass [bass], and David Puckett [drums] – have shared the video for their brand new single “Darkbloom”. With sharp synths and riffs that could chip that paint off the wall, “Darkbloom” represents the next chapter for WCAR. In Fall 2019, the band shared two new tracks: “From the First Note” and “Carry the Weight”. These songs marked the first material the band released after singer Kyle Pavone’s tragic passing in August 2018. “The idea behind ‘Darkbloom’ is that even through the darkest, most difficult times of life, there is still the potential, or possibility, of personal growth” says Moore “As long as we’re not willing to completely concede to the negative emotion or thought that feels like it has taken over, then we can be strong enough to overcome and push through to a different future. This song is about having the mind to be able to acknowledge the reality of situations we’re in, but having the strength to weather [Read More]

We Came As Romans drop ‚From The First Note’ music video

January 15, 2020

We Came As Romans dropped a new video today for ‘From The First Note’. ‘From The First Note’ and ‘Carry The Weight’ were the first songs the band released since the tragic passing of singer Kyle Pavone in 2018. “‘FTFN’ is a song that celebrates the time that we got to spend with Kyle and acknowledges how truly remarkable of a brother and bandmate he was” says Moore. “Lyrically, I was able to reference ‘To Plant a Seed and ‘Tracing Back Roots’ – which were both written about the start of the band and how we lived together.  I was able to take Kyle’s recorded vocal from ‘TPAS’ and fit it into the bridge of the song, so we can always hear him when we listen and play it”. “We wrote ‘From The First Note’ as a promise to Kyle to not only preserve the amazing moments and memories we had together, but to continue carrying on the legacy of everything we built together” says Glass. “The video portrays the band playing in a dream-like [Read More]
