Review: ZAKK WYLDE, Otherwise and Jared James Nichols Band at Regency Ballroom in SF

San Francisco was treated to a night of straight up non-stop high energy rock and metal last night at The Regency Ballroom. The night kicked off with a fierce set by Jared James Nichols. We met up with Jared earlier this year at NAMM 2016 and we were so excited to finally catch them perform live. They kicked ass and a highlight was the amazing cover of Mississippi Queen by Mountain. Guitar icon ZAKK WYLDE has been quite busy out on his tour in continued support of his new LP Book Of Shadows II. Zakk recently released a video for Sleeping Dogs featuring Corey Taylor. The track has gone on to become the most successful active rock radio single of Wylde’s career reaching as high as #22 in the U.S. and #11 in Canada. ZAKK WYLDE ANNOUNCES NEW U.S. / CANADIAN TOUR DATES BOOK OF SHADOWS II OUT NOW

Guitar icon ZAKK WYLDE today has announced new U.S. and Canadian tour dates in continued support of his new LP Book Of Shadows II. Wylde will hit over 40 cities spread out across the U.S. and Canada this summer including a performance at Heavy MTL Festival in Montreal on August 7th, a first for him as a solo artist. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, May 12th. Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown and Jared James Nichols will serve as support. Wylde, as always, has been on the road nonstop. Convert Review Black Label Society / The New Black July 19, 2015, Backstage Werk, Munich It was a hot summer night yesterday, when Black Label Society invited all Berzerkers to another show in Munich. The Backstage Werk was really crowded and the heat inside the venue almost unbearable. But we made it through and the little rainshower outside at the end of the show was welcomed by everyone. But, first things first….. ‘The New Black’, a German band from Würzburg, opened the show. They play a heavy, melodic and groovy sound and really knew how to start a show. After their set, a big curtain was drawn up and shielded the view to the stage. A little after 9 pm an intro started, guitars began to wail, the veil dropped down and with loud cheers from the audience Black Label Society started their set. This is it! Our last day of 12 Days of Vocalists and our featured artist actually was featured on our 12 Days of Guitarists last year! The honor goes to the MOST BAD ASS GUITARIST… AND VOCALIST…. Zakk Wylde!!! Zakk has a voice that is not only powerful but brings out true honesty in his vocals. He conjures up a whirlwind of emotion as he sings with his grizzled tone. Black Label Society dominated Aftershock with their stellar set

Aftershock Festival truly was filled with so many great bands but one set that really stood out was the performance by Black Label Society. It is hard at festivals since you could have several bands playing at the same time but Black Label Society dominated the crowd. Their crowd was filled with both, longtime and new Berzerkers of all ages. Nothing stopped the dedicated fans as they braved the intense 100+ temps to bear witness to the shredding madness of Zakk and his crew. The set was stellar and the fans went wild, begging for more. If one thing I wanted, was a longer set since I could have watched them all day long! When we first heard that Black Label Society would be playing at this year’s Aftershock Festival, our excitement went through the roof! If you have not seen them perform yet, do whatever you can to make sure you get yourself to a show.
