This past summer,Ā Govā€™t MuleĀ revived their renowned and extremely rareĀ Dark Side of the MuleĀ show in honor of the 50th anniversary of Pink Floydā€™sĀ Dark Side of the MoonĀ album. Following a full set of Mule originals, the four-piece was joined by multi-instrumentalistĀ JackieĀ GreeneĀ along withĀ Ron HollowayĀ (sax),Ā Machan TaylorĀ (background vocals) andĀ SophiaĀ RamosĀ (background vocals) for a second full set featuring the music of Pink Floyd and a spectacular laser light show. The DSOTM show was praised by critics and fans alike, withĀ GlideĀ MagazineĀ hailing, ā€œThe bandā€™s flawless execution of each track showcased their exceptional musicianship and attention to detail. Warren Haynesā€™ guitar skills shone through, adding a new dimension to the already iconic guitar solos of the original album. His vocals were equally mesmerizing, capturing the emotional depth and complexity of Pink Floydā€™s lyrics with grace and authenticity.ā€ New bassistĀ Kevin ScottĀ also received high praise across the board from this summerā€™s tour, with many drawing comparisons to original founding bass player, the lateĀ AllenĀ Woody, withĀ Stereo Embers MagazineĀ declaring, ā€œScott plays like he was born to be in Mule.ā€ Govā€™t Mule first debuted the acclaimed set in 2008 and only performed it live 10 times in total prior to this summerā€™s amphitheater tour. TheĀ final Dark Side of the Mule setĀ will take place during the North American fall tour onĀ October 14thĀ inĀ St. Augustine, FL.

Released June 16th,Ā Peaceā€¦Like A RiverĀ (Fantasy Records),Ā the bandā€™s 12th studio album,Ā has been receiving rave reviews, hailed as ā€œperfection,ā€ ā€œcaptivating,ā€ ā€œriveting,ā€ and among the bandā€™s best.Ā PRESS HEREĀ to listen.Ā The 12-song rock collection, theĀ follow-up to Govā€™t Muleā€™s chart-topping, GRAMMY-nominated blues album,Ā Heavy Load Blues, includes the singlesĀ ā€œDreaming Out Loudā€Ā featuringĀ Ivan NevilleĀ andĀ Ruthie Foster,Ā ā€œSame As It Ever Wasā€Ā andĀ ā€œMade My Peaceā€Ā well as additional guest appearances fromĀ Billy F Gibbons, Billy Bob Thornton,Ā andĀ Celisse.Ā Peaceā€¦Like A RiverĀ was recorded during the same sessions asĀ Heavy Load BluesĀ atĀ The Power Station New EnglandĀ with co-producerĀ John PaternoĀ (Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Los Lobos) alongsideĀ Haynes. The albums, however, were created in different rooms, with no shared gear or instruments, keeping the two concurrent projects with their own unique identity and character. Thematically, the new collection explores the seismic changes the world has gone through over the past few years. Influenced both in his songwriting and playing by whatĀ HaynesĀ calls ā€œthe golden era of rock, soul, jazz and blues,ā€Ā Govā€™t MuleĀ combines the best and most enduring qualities from all those musical strains to create a timeless piece of art onĀ Peaceā€¦Like A RiverĀ that could have easily come out in the 1970s.Ā Peaceā€¦Like A RiverĀ is available now digitally, on CD and vinyl, and in aĀ Deluxe EditionĀ (on CD only) including the special 5-trackĀ Time Of The SignsĀ Bonus EPĀ in addition to the original 12 tracks.
