Okay Bay Area, you better have your calendars marked for June 15th and have your tickets ready for another awesome show at the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco! Who is going to be playing???? Well, how about the kick ass rock and roll of State Line Empire! Now I have your attention. We had the opportunity to catch State Line Empire at their concert at the world famous, The Whisky a Go Go last week. I have to tell you they were, once again incredible and just satisfy all your rock and roll needs. They were planned to open for Steven Adler but with his bout in rehab, he was replaced by the legendary rockers, London. State Line Empire sounded awesome, probably one of the best sounding shows I have heard at the Whisky. We had gotten word that the Whisky recently upgraded their sound system and this was the first time I really got to tell the difference. There was not a spot in that place that they didn’t sound crisp and clear and have you wanting to get on your feet and rock!
We were able to do a quick interview with them before the show and here is that interview:
In addition to playing at the Red Devil Lounge on the 15th with Before the Mourning, Butlers, Feather Witch, Dinousar Foot and the Joseph Benjamin Band; they are in the running to play at the 2013 107.7 Bone Bash No. 14. They are currently part of the top 20 and the final four will be chosen to compete at the Saddle Rack on June 18th. The final winner will play at Bone Bash 14. I was supposed to go to that show but then when they canceled Adler I thought it was all cancelled. I hope these guys come back to play in Hollywood again. The sound good.
