You can pre-order the album by heading over to: http://milkychance.lnk.to/Blossom_preorder. More about the album, The first single to rise from this period of reflection is “Cocoon”, a track that’s “about being in a certain situation, trying to work with it, figure out what you’ve done and why you did so”. As its name and sound implies, the track also brings forth a palpable sense of returning to a place of serenity. Or in Clemens own words “trying to find a place where you can be yourself and not be distracted; to slow down and reflect on yourself”. Across the rest of ‘Blossom’, we’re introduced to a vigorous, secure Milky Chance. With that extended period of adventure and personal development now built into their roots, there’s a renewed sense of depth to the band’s serenely alluring jams. It’s a sound that [Read More]

The Word Alive premier new song. Contributed by Alex Bock

March 9, 2017

Building up the tension over the last few days, The Word Alive released a new song and video today. The track is called ‘Misery’. Check it out here: Here’s the bands statement to how the song came about We wanted to bridge the gap between our newest album “Dark Matter” and the writing process of what will become our fifth studio album. It’s incredible to know the exact direction we will be exploring with our next record before writing even one song. After Warped Tour it was clear that we had something special with our newer material, especially songs like “Trapped” “Made This Way” and “Dreamer”. We wanted to morph those songs into something that would be an extension of those three songs in particular. Heavy, ambient, ominous at times and much more personal than our previous material. So we booked studio time with Matt Good (Dark Matter) to write an additional song. We booked five days with Matt and wrote “Overdose” within the first two days. We were feeling in the groove so we [Read More]

Check out the track “Burn The Ships” from Blacktop Mojo, off their upcoming LP

March 8, 2017

We are only a couple days way from the release of Blacktop Mojo’s LP Burn The Ships. The LP is set to release this Friday, March 10th and can be pre-ordered through Bandcamp. The band comments on their title track, We all quit our jobs at about the same time to make this record and play as much as possible—that was our all in, no going back moment. It reminded me of a story we heard from the 1500s about a Spanish explorer that sailed to conquer a territory. Once they landed on the beach, he burned all the ships so all his men knew one thing was clear, there’s no going back. That’s what that song is about, and that’s the story of our lives at the point of the record being created.” – Blacktop Mojo You can take a listen to the title track here: This is one album that you will want to pick up! It is refreshing to hear such determination and rock n roll passion as in their music. Make [Read More]
