Morrissey concert cut short due to being tackled by excited fans

May 8, 2014

Morrissey. What can I say about this man, with his incredible voice that became my safe haven in the those crazy angst filled teen years of my past. His voice has been the soundtrack of my life and the songs they sing have taken me through the best and the worst times of my life. I have Morrissey to thank for the wonderful gift of their music.  That is such a shared sentiment by so many fans. You want to talk to him, touch him, hug him, thank him and that is exactly what many fans did and attempted to do last night. The 54 year old singer was tackled by several fans during the encore performance at the City National Civic in San Jose, Ca last night. Several of the first few fans made it to the stage and you can see just wanted to touch him and Morrissey so kindly obliged them all, even reaching out to those that were being taken away by security.  It continued on through the song, One Day, [Read More]

May 8, 2014

American Hi-Fi have had quite a success with their infectious pop rock sound and they are returning with a new album, Blood & Lemonade which is set for a September 16th release via Rude Records.  When asked about the new album, Singer Stacy Jones says: “We can’t wait for people to hear Blood & Lemonade! It’s a return to a big guitar sound that is most reminiscent of our first album. I am so proud of the songs on this record. It looks like we have finally hit our stride in defining our sound. Jones continues, “We recorded this album in my studio here in Los Angeles over the course of a few sessions. We tracked with all four of us playing live in the main room, then went back and did whatever overdubs we felt we needed; I think recording the majority of the record live lends itself to an energy that can’t be captured any other way. We are proud to represent an era where musicians had to get in the garage with their friends, [Read More]

Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce has been quite busy with touring as well as running KBB Records with Kyle Borman. Yesterday they had announced the pre-order for their first signed band, Scare Don’t Fear was up and ready to order! Today they are announcing the signing of the UK bad ass band, The Family Ruin to KBB Records. The Family Ruin have a very fresh new sound complete with hard and heavy riffs blended with infectious harmonies, where they blend their metal and alternative influences with melodic hard rock. There is something for everyone in their sound. Think about a mix of Avenged Sevenfold with Escape the Fate. To take a listen, check out their first track, Let It Burn which is set to be featured on their upcoming album and you can take a listen at www.altpress.com. Ben Bruce says of the band, “I have known the lads in THE FAMILY RUIN for a number of years now and rarely have I seen a band work as hard as these guys. They deserve to be heard around [Read More]
