Check out the new ROCK Supergroup that you need to know about… Devil City Angels

July 19, 2014

Talk about a supergroup with some great pedigree. Four individually talented musicians coming together and forming Devil City Angels to rock your world. Devil City Angels features Rikki Rockett (Poison) on drums, Tracii Guns ( L.A. Guns) on guitar, Eric Brittingham (Cinderella) on bass and Brandon Gibbs (Cheap Thrill) on vocals and guitar. They are ready to deliver some straight up rock and roll that you have to hear. They recently posted via their Reverbnation page their new song, All My People. You can stream the song and make sure to pick it up as a download. Download of their song insures that 50% of sales goes to the Fender Music Foundation charity. Click the link below to check out the song and download. I love the classic rock vibe the song has, but in no way does it sound dated. It is a kick ass rockin track.  Brandon’s vocals remind me so much of one of my all time faves, Billy Squire. The guitars are sexy and it has a very sultry groove to it. It [Read More]

New Medicine is our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day

July 19, 2014

We are excited to feature once again New Medicine as our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day. They have been hard at work with their new album, Breaking the Model and it is getting closer to the release date of August 25th via Imagen Records. Breaking the Model was produced by Kevin Kaddish (Skillet, OAR) and is the follow up to one of my favorite must have CDs, Race You To The Bottom. They recently released their lyric video for their new single off the album, One Too Many.  Singer Jake Scherer explains more about the song, “The song is about excessiveness. Everybody is guilty of that — whether it’s drinking or something else. We all hit the point where we say, ‘Now, I probably shouldn’t have this one more, but I’ll do it anyway!’ That’s the fun part of life. You never know unless you go too far. That’s also a metaphor for how we perceive music. We want to cross the line.” So get ready for the much anticipated return of New Medicine [Read More]

3 Doors Down – Songs From the Basement Tour Review by Meryl DeWitt

July 18, 2014

The summer has been filled with intense guitar solos and hard head banging music, but sometimes it’s nice to sit back and relax to a soft rock show. 3 Doors Down proved with their acoustic tour, Songs From the Basement, that rock ‘n’ roll doesn’t always have to be pyrotechnics and tight leather pants. As lead singer Brad Arnold jokes, this is pretty much band practice. His statement couldn’t be more true, because just like band practice, the guys laughs and have a good time, as well as include the audience in their shenanigans. It’s a very upbeat environment that gives the fans a much stronger connection to the good ol’ southern boys from Mississippi.   However, during a set that consists of tracks from all across 3 Doors Down’s many albums, the powerful performances of songs like Landing In London and Here Without You will really pull tears to the corner of your eyes. You’ll get a chance to hear many tracks off of the recently released Greatest Hits, as well as songs off [Read More]

Cilver is our Monster Energy Aftershock Festival Featured Band of the Day

July 18, 2014

Here we are on our second day of our Aftershock 2014 Featured Band of the Day and I am so excited about this one. Our featured band of the day is Cilver and I can’t wait to see them again. We were able to catch Cilver as they were out on tour with the Revolver Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock Tour along with Lacuna Coil, Eyes Set to Kill and Sick Puppies. They played an off night with another one of our fave bands, Eyes Set to Kill at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco. Cilver is an American Rock band from New York and they have been rapidly rising on the charts and gaining a lot of attention with their amazing hit, In My Head which features Bumblefoot (Guns n Roses). The energy from Cilver was bouncing off the walls and reverberating through the crowd. They truly captivated the crowd and with their fierce intensity left us all wanting more! I am so happy to see that they will be performing at this year’s Aftershock and [Read More]

The Family Ruin set to release debut album, Dearly Departed on Sept. 23rd on KBB Records

July 17, 2014

The UK bad ass band, The Family Ruin were recently confirmed as support to Crown The Empire on their headlining fall tour. The ‘Welcome To The Resistance Tour’ begins August 30th in Anaheim, CA. Special guests on this run will also include Volumes, Secrets, and Ice Nine Kills. Earlier this year we announced the signing of The Family Ruin to KBB Records which is the new record label of Ben Bruce and Kyle Borman. The Family Ruin have a very fresh new sound complete with hard and heavy riffs blended with infectious harmonies, where they blend their metal and alternative influences with melodic hard rock. There is something for everyone in their sound. Think about a mix of Avenged Sevenfold with Escape the Fate. The Family Ruin have announced details about their new album which is titled, Dearly Departed. The album will be released on KBB Records on September 23rd. Check out the cool album cover and track listing for it here: 01. Bring Out Your Dead 02. Leech 03. Cirque Du Sin 04. Let’s Go 05. [Read More]
