Jessie Payo comes home to LA a country star with Payote magic by Patrick O’Heffernan

August 19, 2014

Jessie Payo, the diminutive soul singer with a larger than life voice has come home to LA, but more important, she has arrived.  After more than a decade of recording, training, touring  and singing with superstars like Melissa Etheridge, Jessie has found her county sound, and she created country magic at the Hotel Café in Hollywood Friday night. It’s no wonder her twitter handle is @payoetemusic. She was booked to come on at 9 pm and while she was setting up the crowd poured in,  They were here for her. And she did not disappoint them.  For almost an hour, she rocked, seduced, mesmerized and united with a full house, demonstrating the  maturity and the self confidence of an experienced entertainer.  She brought us her own brand of gut-tightening, head bobbing  very personal country. Frankly, I had more fun listening to her at Hotel Café than I did at the Wynonna & the Big Noise concert at Century City. Jessie opened with her heart rending “ I will Die Alone”,  which sailed through the room [Read More]

Check out the new video by Mariachi Muerto for Defender

August 19, 2014

We told you a couple months ago about a great Latin style Rap/Rock, Mariachi Muerto from Corpus Christi, TX. Mariachi Muerto is Ruben A Lopez on Lead Vocals, Mark A Pantoja on Rhythm Guitar, Lee Roy Lerma on Drums, and Roger Vela on Bass. They have released another great video. This time it is for their bad ass song, Defender. Check it out here: They have once again impressed me with their style of music. They have blends of a POD style but are in no way imitating as they have successfully created a unique style blending rap, rop and nu-metal all still while maintaining a strong Latin flair. This is one band you should keep your eyes on because I am sure you will be hearing a lot more from them. Also make sure to visit their social media sites and follow/like them. We will see if we can bring you more updates about Mariachi Muerto. ~ Marisol Information & Links: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mariachimuertomusic Twitter: https://twitter.com/mariachi_muerto

We are very excited to announce the release date of Midnight Cinema‘s debut album, Lightning in a Bottle as August 26th. The album is the follow up to their 2013 self-titled EP release from Midnight Cinema. The EP was critically acclaimed and was received extremely well by longtime fans – fans that had been following them since their days in Thriving Ivory. They have released a music video for their song, Edge of the Earth which is on the upcoming album. Check out the video here: The song is absolutely amazing and once again highlights the art of their music with  emotionally driven songs that truly connect a listener to their emotions. It is touching inspirational song that can easily be described as that reassuring hug from a friend, or the comforting hand reaching out to you and guiding you and lifting you up. About the video, “It was amazing how many friends stepped up and wanted to help us with this project, sometimes offering to work for free. We shot the video with Michael here in [Read More]

Five Finger Death Punch spreading an important message with their video for Wrong Side of Heaven

August 15, 2014

Five Finger Death Punch have always been one of my favorite bands. They are not only a band of great musicians but some of the nicest, caring guys in the industry. They were recently featured as one of our Aftershock Festival Bands of the Day as they will be making stop from their co-headlining tour with Volbeat next month for the festival. They have recently released their video for Wrong Side of Heaven and are hard at work delivering an important message about the staggering statistics of returning veterans afflicted and living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Check out the emotionally driven video and truly poignant message here: The video has surpassed a million views in less than weeks time. One thing is certain, Five Finger Death Punch not only wanted to make everyone aware of the situation, but they are doing more than that by insuring that people join forces to assist these veterans. In tandem with the video’s premiere, the group ignited a special crowd-funding campaign for a jersey entitled 5FDP4VETS “No One [Read More]
