Drama Club release music video and will bring to life their electro/shock pop on The Black Mass Tour

September 8, 2014

I am really excited about the upcoming Black Mass 2014 Tour by Black Veil Brides. They have definitely created a lineup that will feature great styles of music all while insuring everyone to have a great time. Along with support by Falling in Reverse and Set It Off, you will get treated to the eclectic and energetic music of the Drama Club. The producer/DJ duo Drama Club can be described as Electro House/Shock Pop, but there is no need to categorize them into a genre checkbox. Just simply put, their music will make you feel alive, dance your ass off and embrace your individuality and maintaining a positive spirit. Might be a tall order for some, but not for (The Twins) Zero and Andromeda, whom completely embody the self-empowering nature of their music. Drama Club explains, “There are no barriers in music as far as we’re concerned, Kids today, have a broad range of musical tastes and are very open mined. We’re mixing together tons of music for this tour. Blending Rock, Electro-house, and everything in [Read More]

The crowd comes together for an energetic set by Divided Heaven at DNA Lounge

September 8, 2014

This past Friday, we made it out to the DNA Lounge for a great night of music which included everything from acoustic to punk rock. Check out our coverage of the acoustic set by Dead Frets here:   Dead Frets.  Next up, was Divided Heaven which is the music project of Jeff Berman. This tour, he has full band in tow and they delivered an incredible energetic set of indie punk.  We had the opportunity to talk with Jeff before his set and will be bringing you that to you later this week. Jeff recently started his Youngblood Tour in support of his new album, Youngblood which was released earlier this year on Say 10 Records. One thing is for sure, it was an energetic set that captured the crowd’s attention and had everyone moving and singing along. His style of music can be described as indie or punk with a great emphasis on the punk. Jeff’s upbeat tempo and punk style created the perfect atmosphere for the DNA Lounge as I reminisced about the punk [Read More]

Dead Frets makes a stop in San Francsico at the DNA Lounge

September 8, 2014

Friday night was a busy one for DNA Lounge as downstairs they were performing the interactive spoof Terminator Too Judgement Play. As intrigued as I was about that, I went straight upstairs to the Above DNA stage, to catch an evening of fantastic music that included everything from acoustic, punk, indie, folk rock, and much more. We arrived early to catch Dead Frets start the night off. Dead Frets is the alter-ego musical work of Jared Stinson whom you might know from his work in his punk band, Sic Waiting.  This past summer Dead Frets were out on the Drunks Go Acoustic Tour so it was nice to see him stop in to San Francisco. Jared brings to life his emotions through acoustic song and his great voice. He also performed one of his Sic Waiting  songs and you could see hints of his punk persona peaking out. He is a story teller as well and I like the fact that he makes the audience feel as if you are sitting at your house and your [Read More]

An Interview with Adrian Patrick of Otherwise as he brings the light through the darkness

September 7, 2014

We have been very excited about the return of Otherwise to this year’s Monster Energy Aftershock Festival which is right before their new album, Peace At All Costs is released on September 16th. The new album has been garnering a lot of well deserved attention. The first single, Darker Side of the Moon has been quickly climbing the Active Rock charts.  In regards to Darker Side of the Moon, Adrian Patrick had this to say:  “Darker Side of the Moon is just the beginning of the journey that we plan to take with everyone. The Moon is a heavenly body that we’ve come to cherish and worship throughout our meager lives… but there is another side to it that most of us know nothing about. We hope that our album Peace At All Costs will help the world navigate the depths of its own darkness and break through into the Light on the other side.” We recently had the chance to talk with frontman Adrian Patrick about the new album and their upcoming tour. Check out the interview [Read More]

Catch Hunter Valentine out on the Ladykillers Tour!

September 5, 2014

Like many others, I was first introduced to the music of Hunter Valentine through Linda Perry Project, Make Or Break on Vh1. From the first episode, I was enamored with their style and music. It was wonderful to watch them grown throughout the show and to hear their new song, Burn With It. They were definitely a band that I wanted to look further into and hopefully catch them live. When you watch them perform, they bring out such a raw yet electric energy that I have been craving. With the departure of Aimee during the show, Laura and Kiyomi are back and as fierce as ever. Their sexy power rock is ready to grab a hold of you and shake up your world. They are going to be setting out on the Ladykiller Tour with several dates announced so far. I am very much hoping that they will be adding more dates, preferably here on the West Coast. Yes, I being selfish, I just want to see Hunter Valentine and you should too! Check [Read More]

Check out the new video for Hounds by Smashing Satellites

September 5, 2014

Smashing Satellites is the new music project by Salvatore Costa, whom you may know as the bad ass guitarist from My Darkest Days. After leaving MDD Sal was ready to dive into his own music and follow his dreams. What blossomed from that departure is the welcoming fresh new sound of Smashing Satellites. They have  a ’80’s retro vibe but with a modern flair. Once you take a listen, you will get hooked. Sal’s vocals are compelling and inviting and places him exactly where he belongs, front and center! The vision Sal had with the creation of Smashing Satellites can be described with their bio: During a period in time where technology has taken over the world, ‘Smashing Satellites’ is a movement; a movement to bring people back to humanity. We have never been closer yet so far apart from one another. We have become a slave to the machine and a prisoner to all – as if a set of metal bars stands between each and every one of us. There for all to see, a [Read More]
