23. MTD Family Reunion Benefit Concert is featured on our Countdown to NAMM 2016

For number 23 on our Countdown to NAMM 2016, we wanted to spread the news about the 5th Annual MTD Family Reunion Benefit Concert at NAMM 2016. The 5th Annual Michael Tobias Design Family Reunion Benefit at the 2016 NAMM Show will raise fund for The Wounded Warrior Project with 100% of the proceeds supporting this great organization. Long Live Lemmy! Lemmy Kilmister 1945 – 2015

I have struggled with writing this post because it was one that I have dreaded. As you all know or unless you have been living under a rock, we lost one of the greatest yesterday, Lemmy Kilmister. Lemmy was one bad ass mother f*cker that we all respected and loved. He was legendary not only for his music for how he lived his life; on his own terms. Ian Fraser Lemmy Kilmister passed away yesterday only days after receiving the diagnosis of his cancer.  The news was confirmed on the Official Motorhead Facebook Page There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer. He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made its way down the street, with his family. After Nations releases live video for “The Laceront Arc”

  Prog rock trio After Nations have released a live, in studio video for their recently released single, “The Laceront Arc”. Recorded during their fall tour at Mystery Ton Studios in Monrovia, MD, it offers an up close look as these instro-shredders move through the mathy, prog-metal weirdness of the new single.   “I really can’t stand having days ‘off’ while on tour, you know?”, says guitarist Andrew Elliott.  “You’re on the road, you spend months and months planning things, and you’re there to share your music with as many people as possible. Sometimes things don’t pan out – a show gets dropped, a local band cancels, whatever – and you’re left with an open day. Sometimes those are opportunities – you just have to look at them in a different way. Another great band we love is Detroit Rock band, Pistol Day Parade and during NAMM we ran into their bassist, Jason Lollio. Pistol Day Parade has been enjoying the great response from their release of their new album “Burn” last year.  Hailing from Detroit are these hard working rockers who bleed out the passion through their music. Their new album “Burn” released via Goomba Records  was produced by Tim Patalan (Sponge, Lovedrug) at The Loft Studios in Saline, Michigan.  It was great talking with Jason and we can’t wait to catch these high energy rockers out on tour. One of our favorite bands, Papa Roach have just released a new music video that you have to check out. It is for their song Falling Apart which is off their new album.
