50. New Invention “Stop The Creep” is featured on our Countdown to NAMM 2016

December 2, 2015

For number 50, we wanted to bring to your attention a new invention which will help drummers end the bass drum creep! Gary Benson of Benson Music in Santa Rosa, California came up with a solution to a never ending problem when he was playing drums. If you are not familiar with the bass drum creep, it is when the bass drum slides during play. We have been to shows where the drummer lugs around heavy carpets, bricks, sand bags, everything to keep the bass drum from creeping on the vocalist, even worse, the front of the stage! So Gary came up with a prototype and has since fine tuned and perfected the device. He started a Kickstarter campaign “Stop The Creep” in hopes of launching the invention at NAMM 2016. Check out a video on it: So for more information on this innovative and useful invention, check out his social media pages. Hopefully we will see him at NAMM! EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE of Native/Tongue debut song & video for Feast in Famine

December 1, 2015

We recently introduced you to Native/Tongue and their amazing cover of Something In The Way You Move by Ellie Goulding. Today, we are honored to give you the exclusive premier of their debut song, Feast In Famine which displays their true direction. Alongside roborant, driving vocals from Cody Taylor, his words send a subtle angst for those throughout human culture who suffer under the weight of oppressive forces beyond their control. The band has honed these words in such a way that not all might derive it’s meaning, but any person might connect with it’s passions in their own angst. Driving this poetry is an electrifying performance from Jesse Caesar and Keaton Stewart who are to thank for the hair raising chills left down the listener’s spine when the perfect medley of guitar rhythms and leads convey a constant grip on your adrenaline, never for a moment loosening it’s grasp. Even with all this, a song with such heart and grit would be nothing without it’s primal and crisp percussion, delivered by Donny West, and [Read More]

The Butcher Babies have had quite a year with some extensive touring and they recently made a stop in Sacramento this past weekend. They were at the Ace of Spades for the Massive Collision Tour with Amaranthe and Lullwater. We had a chance to chat with Heidi and Carla before their set and are pleased to bring you that interview to you here: When the Butcher Babies hit the stage, the adrenaline was flowing and the crowd went wild. Your eyes would be darting across the stage trying to keep up with Carla and Heidi and their unwavering energy.
