Thank you David Bowie for being the soundtrack of my life. 20 Favorite David Bowie Tracks.

January 11, 2016

It is just heartbreaking for me to report the news of the passing of David Bowie earlier tonight. I ran across the news on David Bowie’s Twitter account and I was shocked. January 10 2016 – David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle… https://t.co/ENRSiT43Zy — David Bowie Official (@DavidBowieReal) January 11, 2016 After checking and rechecking with numerous sources, in search of the confirmation that it was an internet hoax, I broke down when I read the tweet from David’s son:   Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all. pic.twitter.com/Kh2fq3tf9m — Duncan Jones (@ManMadeMoon) January 11, 2016 I couldn’t believe that the man whose music was literally the soundtrack of my life has passed away. He had just released his new album, Blackstar only two days ago. His new album had been described by The Times, as Bowie’s oddest work yet. But as I listen to it, I hear the innovative, every changing, evolving music of a [Read More]

The Rocket Summer set to release Zoetic in February and check out new video for Same Air

January 8, 2016

The Rocket Summer are set to release their new album, Zoetic on February 26th via Aviate Records. Bryce Avary comments, “I basically fell in love with music all over again, like I had when I was first learning to play. My only mission was to be as creative as possible, and to push myself further than ever.” The album definitely brings out a fresh new sound that Avary explains, “There wasn’t any kind of deliberate attempt to make something that would be this different from my past records. I just knew that I wanted to tear down any barriers, including the subconscious ones, and make a record that had no rules. So I just followed the songs that were coming out of me and made sure there were no boundaries in the process of arranging and recording them. That approach allowed me the freedom to push myself to make sure everything that was being recorded would be something new and unique.” While we look forward to the new album and tour announcements, check out the new [Read More]
