Shinedown brings a fierce rock set to Santa Rosa

March 9, 2016

The Wells Fargo Event Center last Saturday night was definitely ROCKIN! Shinedown made a stop on their tour here in Santa Rosa and blew the roof off the Wells Fargo center. It was a full fledged rock show which doesn’t happen that often here in Santa Rosa, especially of the Shinedown caliber. The Virginmarys opened the night with their infectious punk edged rock set. You can read more about their set here. The venue was packed to near capacity and Shinedown delivered an amazing set. It was great to see how this band that we fell in love with nearly a decade ago brought back “the feels” once again when they performed. They gave us a set filled with fan favorites, some oldies, and several new songs from their latest album, Threat to Survival and even a couple fun filled verses of Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time. The crowd was on their feet from nearly start to finish in the seated venue. The energy was rampant and you could feel the spirit and good energy [Read More]

Amy Loftus gives us new songs at Molly Malone’s in her sweet, easy way.

March 8, 2016

(Los Angeles) I have been listening to LA-based country singer Amy Loftus for over a year now.  She appeared on my radio show last May to announce the release of her most recent album,  That Whole Entire Time.  She completely charmed the audience – and me – with her glowing voice and welcoming manner.  She was the girl next door who happened to sing brilliantly, play the guitar and front a kick-ass country rock band.   Well, it turns out she is the girl next door – or just a mile or so away from our studio — so I decided to make the short trip to the legendary Molly Malone’s in Hollywood to see her live.  Was I ever happy I did!  Amy’s seven-song set, delivered in her sweet, easy way,  put my mind in pillows and carried me away to many, many nice places. Perched on a dark stage, her gold-silver hair shinning in a single spotlight, Amy welcomed us, appropriately with “Hello”, a new song that took full advantage of her angelic [Read More]

The Virginmarys deliver a flawless set in Santa Rosa

March 8, 2016

We have been counting down to the return of The Virginmarys and we were glad to catch their amazing set Saturday night in Santa Rosa. They are out on tour in support of Shinedown and we caught them at the Wells Fargo Events Center.  We have been hooked on them for several years now and we can’t wait for the release of their  new album, Divides which is set for a May 6th release. The Virginmarys played to a near sold out crowd and blew everyone away with their set. They delivered their signature vibrant punk edge rock that had the audience applauding their praise. They kicked off the set with their highly energetic track, Bang, Bang, Bang and they continued with favorites off their King of Conflict album as well as treating us to several new songs off the album. It was impressive to see them perform Into Dust and For You My Love and finishing the night off with a fierce Motherless Land. We were honored to see drummer Danny Dolan sporting a [Read More]
