LEON RUSSELL’S WIFE RELEASES STATEMENT ON PASSING OF ROCK AND ROLL LEGEND

  News Release of the passing of Leon Russell.  NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 13, 2016) – Leon Russell, born Claude Russell Bridges, who sang, wrote and produced some of rock ‘n’ roll’s top records, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13 at the age of 74.Leon’s wife, Jan Bridges, released the following statement:“We thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this very, very difficult time. My husband passed in his sleep in our Nashville home. He was recovering from heart surgery in July and looked forward to getting back on the road in January. We appreciate everyone’s love and support.”Leon’s last performance was July 10 in Nashville.Known as “The Master Of Space And Time,” Leon was a legendary musician and songwriter who performed his gospel-infused southern boogie piano rock, blues, and country music for more than 50 years.Leon, born in Lawton, Okla., began as a nightclub piano player in Oklahoma at the age of 14, also backing touring artists when they came to town. Architects US/Canada Tour 2017

UK based band Architects put a teaser on their facebook page announcing a US/Canada tour for 2017. Dates will be announced November 14th 9AM PST. https://www.facebook.com/architectsuk/videos/10154756223999433/ They are currently on the road in the UK after a sold-out tour through Germany. After the tragic loss of Tom Searle in August 2016, who was the heart and soul of the band and also the main song-writer, they played their first live shows again in September on a tour through Australia. It sure isn’t easy to go on stage every night, but they do it anyway, for Tom Searle. He left a legacy behind. Every show is something special. Ex vocalist from FVK Kier Kemp introduces new project

Just about two weeks after FVK played their sold out farewell show at Camden Underworld in London, co-vocalist Kier Kemp, who was working on a new project since his departure from FVK in July, introduces his new project Inklings. He partnered with Michael Lane to form the band. They put a teaser video up for the first song release, announced for November 25th. Check it out….last second tunes sound promising: Kemps former band, FVK, broke up in July following him leaving the band.
