IN VINYL NEWS: We are excited to share the new imprint Craft Recordings will be reissuing Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane’s Complete 1957 Riverside Recordings as a deluxe vinyl box set! Check out the news below: For an all-too-brief, magical time in 1957, two of the greatest musicians in history — Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane — performed together every night at New York’s Five Spot Cafe and between April and July of that year, they made their only studio recordings together.   This June 9th, the newly minted imprint Craft Recordings, is set to reissueThelonious Monk and John Coltrane’s Complete 1957 Riverside Recordings as adeluxe vinyl edition box set featuring new artwork, rare photos and 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI from lacquers cut by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA. Charming Liars release video for cover of Elton John’s I’m Still Standing

  Alternative rockers Charming Liars from Southern California have just released a video for their cover of Elton John’s classic “I’m Still Standing“. They’ll also be donating half of the proceeds from the song to MusiCares®, a charity of The Recording Academy® dedicated to providing a wide range of health and human services programs including emergency financial assistance, addiction recovery resources, and wellness initiatives to members of the music community.
