VIDEO SPOTLIGHT: James delivers a raw beautiful video for their new song, Coming Home Pt. 2

June 28, 2018

There are not many alternative 90’s bands that I still listen to on a daily basis. But, James is one of those bands that have stood the test of time and consistently draws me into their music, nearly every day.  Whether it is my Go To energy boosting song Born of Frustration, or my summer fun track Sit Down, I am enjoying James.  I am so excited that they are set to release their new album, Living in Extraordinary Times on August 3rd. The album is produced by wonder duo Charlie Andrew and Beni Giles.   We have already been hooked on their new song, Hank and now we are completely floored by their latest video release. They have just released a video for their song, Coming Home Pt. 2 which is a sequel to their 1989 hit Come Home. Tim Booth comments on the song via Clash Music, “I wrote ‘Come Home’ feeling shit about leaving my older kid and splitting up with his mum. This is a part two, a sequel to that. VIDEO: Rockers Rebel Rampage release Immigration Man video, bringing the song into current context of immigration crisis

June 27, 2018

Los Angeles based rock trio Rebel Rampage are set to release their debut album later this summer. They have just released a video of Immigration Man which features a modern day visual to the 1972 protest song by Graham Nash. About the video: os Angeles-based power rock trio, REBEL RAMPAGE, just announced a controversial and timely call to action with the release of “Immigration Man”, the heart-wrenching music video for their debut single.  The song is a modern rock interpretation of the 1972 protest song by Graham Nash.  The story illustrates the hardship and heartache associated with someone trying to enter the U.S. and the continuing frustrations with the entire immigration process.  Despite being written and released in the 70’s, REBEL RAMPAGE frontman Graham Czach (whose parents named him after Graham Nash) feels the track’s message means more now than ever.“I thought it only appropriate to honor my namesake and turn this great song… into a modern rock anthem for the cause and immigration crisis at hand. This is not about politics; it’s about being humane, moral, and decent with respect for [Read More]

Spotlight Artists: John and Joe release new infectious song, Honeyman

June 27, 2018

We are ready to bring the spotlight onto alternative duo John and Joe. The best friend songwriters John Doyle and Joseph Kashas are from Nashville and they have recently released an infectious new track, Honeyman. The song is the first single off their upcoming EP  which is set to release on July 1st. The track is a catchy fun song that will have you tapping your toes and dancing around. Perfect song for your summer playlist! John describes the song, The song Honeyman came together with a bassline Joe had been working on. We had been waiting to see when living in Nashville would start to influence us musically and it really comes out on this song. The guitar hook and solo especially show the influence this city has had on us so far. The song is about being in your early 20’s when it seems like nobody is interested in committed relationships yet feels very lonely most of the time. It’s about the ever changing belief of who your ideal partner is and the [Read More]

Greta Van Fleet; like a pair of shock paddles resuscitating the life of Rock n Roll

June 26, 2018

Within the last decade,  we have seen many bands deliver some good blips on the heartline of the rock and roll, but none as huge as the spike that Greta Van Fleet is making.  They are bringing a full on resuscitation to ROCK ‘N ROLL so get ready, hang on and enjoy the ride. We recently caught Greta Van Fleet perform at the beautiful intimate outdoor venue of John Anson Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood. The venue is situated in the rugged beauty of an LA County regional park. The setting was superb and as the bands took the stage, the sound was spot on. The crowd was greeted with a high energy gritty alt-rock set from SlothRust, LA/Brooklyn based three piece band. Their music is a great blend of 90’s grunge, garage punk, and alternative rock. The crowd grew to capacity as Greta Van Fleet were to take the stage. The excitement raced through the crowd as the lights dimmed and the band entered. From the first note to the last, the energy was [Read More]
