Cory Wells live at Club Cord in Munich with Luke Rainsford

January 22, 2020

California based solo musician Cory Wells released his first full-length record ‘The Way We Are’ late last year. I found out about this artist through a suggestion on youtube. The intensity and feelings in his songs blew me away back then. We had the chance to cover one of his first performances in Germany when he opened for Dashboard Confessional last November. Check here for our review and some pictures of that extraordinary show: https://musicjunkiepress.com/acoustic/an-all-acoustic-night-with-dashboard-confessional-and-cory-wells-at-the-hansa-39-feierwerk-in-munich/ The show in November was sold out before it was known that Cory Wells would play as well, so fans of him didn’t really have the chance to go to that show. Right around that time he announced his own headliner tour through Europe though with stops in Germany, Belgium and the UK. Munich was also on the list, so we took the chance to cover this very intimate set of Cory Wells and Luke Rainsford in a very small club in Munich’s inner city called Club Cord. Originally Lizzy Farrell should have been part of the tour, but she [Read More]

We Came As Romans drop ‚From The First Note’ music video

January 15, 2020

We Came As Romans dropped a new video today for ‘From The First Note’. ‘From The First Note’ and ‘Carry The Weight’ were the first songs the band released since the tragic passing of singer Kyle Pavone in 2018. “‘FTFN’ is a song that celebrates the time that we got to spend with Kyle and acknowledges how truly remarkable of a brother and bandmate he was” says Moore. “Lyrically, I was able to reference ‘To Plant a Seed and ‘Tracing Back Roots’ – which were both written about the start of the band and how we lived together.  I was able to take Kyle’s recorded vocal from ‘TPAS’ and fit it into the bridge of the song, so we can always hear him when we listen and play it”. “We wrote ‘From The First Note’ as a promise to Kyle to not only preserve the amazing moments and memories we had together, but to continue carrying on the legacy of everything we built together” says Glass. “The video portrays the band playing in a dream-like [Read More]
