Polaris announce headliner tour through Europe/UK in May

Sidney metalcore band Polaris just announced a headliner tour through Europe and the UK in May 2020. They will be joined by Alpha Wolf, Currents and Varials. Tickets will be on sale Thursday, January 16th at 11 am CET.

Their long-awaited second record ‘The Death Of Me’ will be released on February 21st through Sharp Tone Records.

It’s been two years since Polaris released their ARIA-nominated, Top 10 debut, The Mortal Coil. Thanks to an extensive international touring schedule, it introduced the group to legions of fans all around the world.

For the recording of The Death Of Me the band returned to the house in the small South Coast town of Mollymook, where they made The Mortal Coil, converting it into a temporary studio.

Accompanying the band was their front of house sound engineer, Lance Prenc and long-time friend Scott Simpson (of Alpha Wolf), both of whom co-produced the album with the band.

In the two years since The Mortal Coil, Polaris embarked on three sold-out headlining tours in Australia, as well as supporting Architects and Parkway Drive around the country. Five runs through Europe (including a series of arena shows supporting Architects), three separate US tours, not to mention performing at the famous Download Festival and Unify Gathering in Australia.

So far two songs from the new record have been released. ‘Masochist’

and just last week ‘Hypermania’.
