Southern California based alt-rocker Ratinoff seems to capture our exact frustrations with our neighbors in his new track, Light Me Up. Ratinoff explains about the new track and how it ‘came out of frustration and anger’: “With everybody spending a lot of time indoors and working and going to school from home, there were a few instances where my neighbors at the time were complaining that my rehearsing during the day was a distraction. Hacktivist release video for new single “Hyperdialect”

June 10, 2021

UK grime-metal quintet Hacktivist have released a video for their crushing new single “Hyperdialect”, the title track from their eagerly anticipated new album, due for release on 18th June via UNFD. The single features a guest appearance from Aaron Matts, vocalist of ten56. and former vocalist of Betraying The Martyrs. Co-vocalist Jot Maxi comments: “This single is about trying to describe our signature sound and how we use it. If our band was a comic book hero, then ‘Hyperdialect’ would be their weapon or superpower! It’s our method of attack, our way of putting our governments and mainstream medias in the crosshairs. But rather than brute force we use ‘Hyperdialect’ to strike back.Technically you could say that all Hacktivist music is ‘Hyperdialect’. That’s one of the reasons we also chose it as an album title, this song then stands as an autological explanation of itself as a theory”. Aaron Matts adds: “Being a part of Hacktivist’s hard-hitting movement was a task that I took huge pleasure in; when the band briefed me on the track [Read More]

June 10, 2021

Big Indie Records and rock band The Bots are excited to announce the Friday, September 8 release of “2 Seater”, the LA-based outfit’s first full-length offering in seven years. Produced by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Adrian Quesada of Black Pumas, “2 Seater” is the brainchild of musician Mikaiah Lei and is a multi-style body of work that captures the struggles of his young adulthood. Each of the 10 tracks that make up “2 Seater” were written between the ages of 19 and 22 when Lei was undergoing a rapid burst of self-growth. Now, as a 28-year-old, Lei has rewritten and recorded those songs to articulate themes he struggled to find words for back then: the ups and downs of young love, the need to nurture friendships, and the sentimental work of taking care of yourself each day. Inspired by the old expression “I’ll believe it when I see it”, the album’s lead single, “See It”, boasts an unruly guitar line that makes it feel like the song is being played while barreling down the highway at [Read More]
