Girl Tones Bring Raw, High Energy to the Cornerstone

January 30, 2026

We had a chance to catch Girl Tones opening for Dexter and the Moonrocks  at the Cornerstone in Berkeley, and we were especially excited to see them in such a small, intimate venue. Knowing they’re on a serious upward rise, it felt like one of those “right place, right time” moments. The two-girl group immediately brings to mind that raw, stripped-down energy reminiscent of the White Stripes — a drummer and a guitarist/singer, with both of them sharing vocal duties. From the moment they hit the stage, they delivered an incredibly high-energy set that had the crowd moving and dancing from start to finish. Their chemistry was undeniable, and they absolutely owned the room. We can’t wait to catch them again at this year’s BottleRock Festival in Napa, where we’ll be bringing you full coverage — and hopefully an interview as well. Dexter and The Moonrocks hit the stage and the energy continued on. The crowd was dancing and singing along from start to finish. Make sure to visit the social media sites and stay [Read More]

Motionless In White share new song “Afraid Of The Dark”

January 28, 2026

Motionless In White shared their latest single, “Afraid Of The Dark” about two hours ago. Already 33.000 views and more than 24.000 “thumbs up”, the numbers are growing fast. According to press releases, the song marks the beginning of a new era for the band. Chris Motionless (singer) on the song: “20 years ago, I stepped into a tour van with my best friends, having no idea what was next every mile we drove down the road. Funny enough, we broke down two hours later in the AM hours in a snowstorm. We had to sleep on the floor of a rest stop on the side of the Interstate and wait what felt like forever for a tow truck. We were forced to cancel the first few shows of our first tour ever, and to figure out how to scrape up every cent we could to try and get the van fixed and get back on the road. Nothing was ever going to stop us. There was never a doubt that we would find a [Read More]

Inside the Music: Interview with Jody Glenham

January 23, 2026

After recently discovering Jody Glenham and instantly connecting with her new song Overtime, I knew I wanted to dig a little deeper. That track hit me in such an immediate, emotional way that it felt only right to learn more about the person behind the music. Following our recent coverage of Overtime and the excitement surrounding her upcoming EP Still Here, we had the chance to interview Jody and talk about her songwriting process, the stories behind the music, and where she’s at creatively as she prepares for this next chapter. * *  * INTERVIEW * * *   “Overtime” feels incredibly honest and emotionally grounded. Can you take us back to the moment this song first came together and what inspired it?  I wrote this song two years ago, when I was asking myself a lot of big questions. It was January in Vancouver, BC which is a very cold and dark time of year. I was feeling isolated and alone, and wasn’t connecting with the people in my life. But when I started to explore the “what’s [Read More]

Roman Candle Drop Explosive New Track “Can We Watch Something Happy?”

January 21, 2026

Today, Roman Candle share a new song that hits hard and refuses to let go. “Can We Watch Something Happy?” arrives with an accompanying music video, delivering a fierce, high-energy surge that immediately demands your attention. Written from the perspective of vocalist Piper Ferrari’s childhood self, the song channels a storm of intrusive thoughts, compulsive prayer, and the crushing guilt of believing your own mind is something sinful. The intensity isn’t just sonic—it’s emotional. The track moves with urgency, balancing raw aggression and vulnerability in a way that feels both overwhelming and deeply real. Piper comments, “‘Can We Watch Something Happy’ is written from the perspective of my childhood self. I struggled with severe OCD growing up, which was intensified by being raised in a religious household. I wasn’t diagnosed until much later, so for most of my youth I didn’t understand what was happening — I just remember being scared all the time. There was a constant cycle of praying for the intrusive thoughts to go away, eventually giving in to them, and then praying [Read More]

STIGMA Share Second Chance (Deluxe US/Export Edition) as Touring Plans Take Shape for 2026

January 21, 2026

There’s something quietly powerful about a band that knows exactly who they are and isn’t trying to be anything else. German melodic heavy metal/dark rock band STIGMA are continuing to carve out their own space with the release of Second Chance (Deluxe US/Export Edition), which is an expanded global edition that opens the door to new listeners while staying true to the heart of the band. Formed in Germany in 2021, the band has quietly built a world where melody, shadow, and emotion coexist. Their music lives in that in between space balancing melodic heavy metal with a dark rock edge and where vulnerability doesn’t weaken the sound, it strengthens it. If you’ve ever found comfort in the moody romanticism of HIM, The 69 Eyes, Volbeat, or Type O Negative, STIGMA’s songs will feel like familiar company. On June 4, 2025, STIGMA released their debut album, Second Chance, a record that is rooted in reflection, resilience, and the idea that broken things don’t need to be fixed to be meaningful. Now, with Second Chance (Deluxe [Read More]

Girl Tones Drop “Volcano” and Hit the Road

January 16, 2026

Girl Tones are not slowing down. They’ve just dropped their new single “Volcano,” and it feels like a statement that is raw, confident, and fueled by pressure rather than fear. The high-energy rock duo, made up of sisters Kenzie and Laila, have a way of turning chaos into something powerful, and this track captures that perfectly. Watch the video here for Volcano: And they’re wasting no time getting back on the road. Later this month, Girl Tones head out on a West Coast run with Dexter and The Moonrocks, followed by March dates alongside Peter McPoland. If you’ve seen them live, you already know this band thrives on the stage. We’ve really been loving what Girl Tones have been doing lately, every release feels more locked in, more fearless. They were just announced as a showcasing artist at SXSW, and festival season is shaping up in a big way. They’ll be heading overseas for The Great Escape in the UK, then back to the U.S. for Bonnaroo, BottleRock Napa, Treefort, and Outside Days. We’re especially [Read More]
